Just got called by some muppet saying there was an issue with my internet, typical call centre rubbish. I asked to talk to someone who'd actually be honest with me and they just went silent and hung up. Honestly, the firms responsible really need to put a stop to this nonsense. What a waste of time!

got a call from a woman with an asian accent, went on for a good couple mins saying she was from bt and that my router was infected with viruses. she asked me to follow some steps on my pc so their bt engineer could sort out the issues without charging me. i just said “oh yeah? i’m actually a bt technician myself” and she immediately ended the call. i’m not one but she had no clue. total scam right there.
