Me and my housemate get loads of these calls on both our mobiles and landline. Best advice is don't hang up or get angry, it just makes them worse. Never share any info, not even whether they’ve reached your work or home number. Instead, ask them to explain the claim to YOU. Or if it’s on your landline, say hold on a moment and just put the phone down till they hang up first. Also, a Trucall gadget is well worth having - it actually helps loads.

Then they transferred me to a supervisor who asked if I’d filed a claim. I said no, ‘cause I didn’t even realise I could.
