They've been ringing me nonstop for ages now even though I’m on the TPS list. It’s one of those dodgy car crash scams and honestly, they should be put out of business. They call from 02079500772. The scammer behind this is a director named MONIKA KUBIANKA, based at 72 Oaklands Grove, London W12 0JB. Born November 1977, Polish nationality. The caller ID says SIGMA ADVICE - definitely a scam!

Sounds like a classic fishing scam. When they say "I heard you had an accident," just reply with "If you really know, then tell me my name." They usually drop the call straight away :-)

It only rang a couple of times so I didn’t pick up. I think it’s quite clever how these robocalls only ring briefly, usually 2 or 3 times. I always look up the number online first. If it’s important, they’ll either leave a voicemail or try calling you again. Thanks to the info here, I’ve now blocked that number.

Got a call from someone saying they were from some company called 'Sigma' or something similar. They asked me about an accident I had a few years back. Sounded like an autodialler 'cos I ended up speaking to two reps at the same time. Then they passed me on to a 'Supervisor'. When I told him about the crash (which had a horse, a bridge, and about a foot of string involved), he just hung up on me.

Try recording the call using free call recorder apps and chuck the clips up on YouTube, you might even earn a bit from ads. I faked an accident once, got passed to someone else, I then done a dodgy accent and acted like the connection was rubbish, kept breaking up. It starts off with a robotic voice asking questions where you’re meant to reply. Sounds pretty genuine at first but you soon realise it’s just a recording. If you agree, it connects you to someone pretending to be a ‘manager’. This person then starts asking about an accident you supposedly had recently. It’s quite funny if you decide to humour them, but things quickly turn nasty once they figure out you’re not falling for their trick and have been messing about.
