The woman had a really nice northern accent and was quite polite, but when I told her I hadn’t been in any accident that wasn’t my fault, she just said ‘right’, paused, then ended the call. Honestly, the smartest way to deal with these calls is to humour them a bit. Just keep them chatting, but don’t share any real personal info. Tell them you had an accident, got whiplash, your kid was in the car as well or whatever you can think of. Make a story up and keep them hanging for ages. Eventually, they’ll hang up and then you just block the number. If they ring again from some other number, block that one too.

oddly this number phoned me saying they were from 'seagull expert guidance' relating to a car crash that wasnt on me. since ive seen other people saying they got calls from Microsoft pretending, its obviously a con. i cut them off once i told them to stop calling. it was a woman on the line. have reported it to the TPS. they also seem to use a nearby London number - look up the company name online.
