Got a call from some insurance firm claiming I was in a car crash recently. The funny thing is, I don't even possess a driving licence! Got calls from these lot a couple of times now, claiming they're from Seagull and asking if I was in some accident, which I definitely wasn’t. Each time I’ve kindly told them to take me off their calling list, and both times they’ve just hung up on me. Lovely behaviour!

They claimed to be from Seagull Experts and said it was about some car crash I supposedly had. I asked the lady on the phone to say the company name again, which she did, then I asked where they’re based, and she just ended the call on me. Kinda expected that, honestly.

Had two calls where no one said a word when I picked up. On the third call, a young woman with an English accent spoke to me. Just like loads of others, she was talking about a car crash I never had. She mentioned her company was called ‘Pearl’ something. I didn’t share any info, told her to stop calling me, and then blocked the number.

I told him if he was really BT, he’d already know my email since it’s a BT one, and to just send whatever info he had by email. He went quiet after that. Not the first time I’ve had dodgy calls like this - watch out, these lot are just trying to mess with your computer.

I received a ring from 02079462059 about a car crash. Since I don’t drive, I was baffled how I could be involved in one? I asked the caller for her name, and she said Laurie Neeson, but she refused to spell out the company she was calling from and kept pushing me to confirm the accident. She mentioned where she got my info, but it was vague. When I pressed for her company's name, she just ended the call. I don’t take part in surveys and have told my provider not to share my number, so I’m not sure how that company got hold of it. I’ve since blocked the number on my phone.

Same as loads of decent folks commenting here, I got a call saying "we're calling about your accident, when did it happen?" I told them this is harassment and that I’d share the number online. They just hung up. The number was 02079462059. Proper sick of this pestering and it’s about time phone companies got serious and blocked these calls. They must have some kind of filter and know these scam numbers inside out.

Should you find yourself receiving a call from this number, I strongly advise that you refrain from sharing any private details with the person on the other end. They’re masquerading as an agency looking into vehicle accidents, attempting to fish for your personal data. Remarkably, they’ve got the gall to claim, “we’re helping the police with an inquiry.” To put a stop to their relentless ringing, I kept an air horn canister nearby whenever the phone rang. I pretended I’d been in a crash and that I would retrieve my insurance information... then let them have it with the horn! Since then, peace and quiet has been restored - no more unsolicited calls for me!
