This kind of call is a total scam. They’ll claim your computer has a virus and ask to control it remotely with your permission - then they’ll say you’re owed a refund and try to get you to log into your bank online. Once they see your details, they can nick your cash. Spread the word. Never let anyone have remote access to your PC!!!

Despite all the background noise - sounded like a call centre - a guy said he was contacting me about my computer. Again, I said I don’t have one and asked him not to ring back. My friend grabbed the phone and told the caller he was breaking the law with cold calls, that the call was being recorded, and to stop ringing. Someone in my family had put a stop to and blocked these nuisance calls on both my landline and mobile, so I’m really fed up they’re still coming through.
