I received a call from someone claiming they had details about an accident I was involved in, which, by the way, wasn’t my doing at all. Naturally, I was curious about the source of their information, so I inquired. But before I could get any clarification, they abruptly cut the line. Such a strange experience!

It’s one of those accident scam calls. I’ve told them to just stop and put the phone down, but they kept going with the whole script. I kept saying it was an unsolicited call and asked them to stop but they didn’t care. I already blocked one number and then got the same call from a different one. Seems like they’ve got loads of spares to keep trying :(

They asked me about an accident I had. I was like, which one? Told them I’d had three. I said once a pedestrian walking on the pavement damaged my car. Asked if I could still make a claim. Then they just went quiet, started stammering and hung up. Honestly, that made it way more entertaining!

Whenever I get a call from a number I dont know, I usually wait a few secs after picking up before I say anything. Those automated diallers used by annoying callers like PPI and accident claim firms assume no one’s there and just cut the call off. That’s exactly what happened with this number - they ended the call without saying a word. From what I can see, they’ve only recently started using this number. I reckon the Telephone Watchdog or ICO should really be on this and stop them!

Saved this number as scammer in my contacts. If they ring again, I’ll give them a right earful down the line. She threatened to get a solicitor then just went quiet and ended the call.

Keep getting these calls constantly. Automated voice of a girl claiming they got the number from the Road Traffic Stats office or something like that. She was so bad she couldn’t even say “statistics” right. I reckon they just play the recording and monitor the replies, and if someone sounds weak or easily fooled, they then try to scam them. Bloody poxy scammers. What’s the point?! What kinda job is this? Honestly, it’s pretty funny but also really irritating. Can’t wait for the day a company gets slapped with a massive fine for bothering people like this.
