Oh, it was one of those car crash scam calls. I said I was fine but that my parrot had sadly passed away, and I asked if they knew where I could get another, as I was feeling pretty down without it. Eventually, the bloke just ended the call. Feels good to think I messed up a bit of their dull day!

Got a call from someone trying to get me to sign up for an iPhone deal, so I played along and gave them some totally fake info. Just as I was about to finish, I pulled out and hung up. Honestly, it’s a bit of a laugh messing about and wasting the time of these scammy people.

Somebody rang me claiming I’d been in a car crash. Honestly, felt like they were implying I was driving drunk or something. Then they tried to get me to share personal details, promising a free iPhone 13 Pro in return. What they said was along the lines of, “We’re aware of your recent accident and wish you a speedy recovery.” Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else.

I mean, what’s the point of spending money creating and keeping up a website that supposedly gives you a free service otherwise? Come on folks, time to wise up!

Got a call the other day about some car crash I’m supposed to have had - but I’ve never been in one! I told them, “Can you tell me which accident you mean? I’ve supposedly had two! SOME ADVICE:--- First off, if you answer and there’s a pause of like 3-4 seconds before anyone says anything, chances are it's a scam call. Especially if you’re not running a business, you usually know who’s calling you, right? So if you’re unsure or there’s that awkward silence, just hang up straight away! Also, if you’re greeted by a fancy American lady’s voice or some strange person telling you to press buttons on your phone - don’t bother, just end the call. No genuine company would ask you to do that before telling you what it’s about. I’ll keep sharing if I get more dodgy calls. Stay safe out there!

You might wanna check out www.hellodean.net, I gave them a go myself and they really helped block those annoying spam calls. Once they deal with those numbers, they're much less likely to ring you again. Worth a shot, honestly! ;-)

I didn't answer the call on my phone because the number looked unfamiliar. So I looked it up on Google and saw loads of people saying it was a cold caller. I then added it to my phone’s block list straight away.
