I got a call today about some car crash they say I was involved in (which is odd, considering I’ve never had one!). If you get the chance, why not throw them a curveball? Ask, "Which accident are you referring to? I’ve had a couple that could do with some compensation, you know?" It’s amusing how quickly they become flustered when the tables are turned, isn’t it? USEFUL ADVICE:--- 1): If you receive a call that lingers for more than a couple of seconds before anyone speaks, be wary-it's likely a scam call. Generally, it's rather straightforward for individuals to recognise who is likely to call them unless they're conducting business. So, if anything seems off, don't hesitate to simply decline the call, especially if there's that awkward pause! 2): Should you find yourself on the line with a refined American-accented woman (or another unfamiliar voice) instructing you to press various buttons, it’s best to hang up immediately. No reputable company would ever ask you to push keys without first explaining why. If I encounter any more of these dodgy calls, I’ll keep you updated. Stay safe out there!

It was a woman on the line, asserting she was reaching out on behalf of an insurance company regarding a road traffic accident that I was, apparently, involved in over the past three years-mind you, one where I was not to blame. When I probed her for the name of the person she wished to speak to, she was at a loss for words and, after me insisting on further details, she rather abruptly ended the call. Straight to the block list she goes-definitely a waste of my time!
