I've recently started getting these persistent calls from the same woman, I reckon. After I asked her once to take my number off her list and not to bother me again, she keeps ringing anyway. Before this year, my phone was quiet from cold calls, but that all changed from January 16th onwards. So someone called me saying I'd been in an accident. I told them I was behind the wheel of my bright pink three-wheeler, which I named Peppa Pig, on 31st February 2090, after hopping through time. Then out of nowhere, a huge green elephant plonked itself down on my bonnet and crushed the car. She actually goes, "Oh that's terrible, but we can assist with your claim..." I’m pretty sure they didn’t catch a word I said!

I answered a call from this number once and before I could say anything, they just ended the call. When I tried ringing back, the call wouldn't connect. Feels like they're just making sure the phone is active so they can bombard you with spam calls later on.

I couldn't quite make out the name of the company she mentioned, but apparently I've been in a car crash sometime in the last three years - which was completely news to me! When I told her I’d never had any accident, she asked if it might have been a relative instead. I ended up telling her honestly that I'd have some advice - seemed like she was just another person working for a scammy outfit. Fair play to her for having work, but I reckon she deserves a better gig than hassling strangers with cold calls.

Every day I get calls from this number, it's really annoying. I even started getting texts, which I wasn’t expecting. When my phone bill arrived, it was £55, and honestly, I barely use my phone that much.

I hung on until a real person answered and said hello, so I replied. She quickly rattled off the company's name and immediately began talking about some accident. When I asked which company she meant, she just kept going on about accidents from the past 3 years. I then asked who she was, and the daft woman just cut me off and ended the call. Well, she’s blown any chance of me using their services - I’ll be taking my business somewhere else.

0207 946 0996 just rang me claiming someone told them I'd been in some kind of accident. I told them no, then tried to ask them to take me off whatever list they have, but the person hung up on me straight away. When I tried calling back to follow up, it said I'd dialled a wrong number or something. Really annoying spam call!
