Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from the NHS. They asked if I’d had my vaccine and if I noticed any bad side effects. Got an automated message on my phone from this number, saying I was 'under investigation' and would be fined if I didn’t call back. Of course, I ignored it. But seriously, why doesn't BT track these muppets down, gather proof by monitoring the calls, and then get them locked up? BT must know where these calls originate since the line’s hardwired. So what’s the hold up? This kind of behaviour is completely illegal and BT should be doing everything to shield its customers from these conmen! Are they just happy to pocket the cash from us while turning a blind eye to stop these dodgy calls?

I've just had a bizarre encounter myself! A chap from Scotland was absolutely livid, insisting that my business was tapping into his Wi-Fi. He had gone as far as to look up his IP address, and somehow stumbled upon our phone number. Naturally, he expected me to justify this so-called infringement. It’s quite astonishing really-surely he could find better ways to occupy his time on a lovely day than hounding random phone numbers for no apparent reason? Quite ridiculous!

Received an utterly bizarre call from the number listed above. The caller insisted that I had booked a taxi, hopped in, and made off without settling the fare, leaving me with a bill of £22. Quite strange, as I reside in West Sussex and have no need to venture into London! The chap then turned quite hostile, even threatening to break down my door and cause me harm, which was rather unsettling. Now, I find myself apprehensive about picking up calls, worried it might be this same individual again. Has anyone else encountered similar nonsense? I received an alarming call on my friend's private mobile from this number. The caller began throwing around wild accusations of hacking and claimed that my friend had been misusing his Wi-Fi connection. He threatened to involve the authorities if my friend didn’t cease immediately. Even after my friend explained that he had the wrong number, the caller persisted with his aggressive stance, insisting he would inform the police. Eventually, my friend had enough and cut the conversation short, telling the caller to feel free to go ahead and report him. It was hardly a pleasant encounter. If you’re already signed up with the TPS, make sure to report live callers to the ICO, and for silent or dropped calls, notify OFCOM through their website. These nuisance calls won’t be bothered by comments here, but they DO get concerned when reported to OFCOM or the ICO - it only takes a couple of minutes. Also, if you haven’t registered with the TPS yet, honestly, you’re making it easy for these spammers. Don’t expect your phone provider to help much either; they make more money selling caller ID services than blocking annoying calls.

I had a rather bizarre encounter with a Scottish bloke who rang me up, accusing me of infiltrating his WiFi network! He wanted to know how I managed to get my hands on his password. The kicker? Got a robotic bloke's voice on the line, accusing me of following his family. He was pushing for a yes or no answer from me. Feels like they’re after voice replies to maybe break into phone banks or summat.

Got a call from some Scottish bloke claiming I was on his wifi. When I tried to ring back after reading these comments, the number was dead. He even warned me about the police - if he rings again, I’ll be the one dialing them.

Got a call from someone asking where my house is because they had to deliver like 20 pizzas and sodas or something. They kept going on about if it’s a street or a road, and I was like seriously what’s going on? I just ended the call. The person sounded Pakistani or something!

My partner just got a call from 02079460702, some bloke claiming he’s been ringing his girlfriend late at night, yelling down the phone and asking for his name. This was around 10:40pm. My boyfriend, being polite but fed up, told him to f£#k off and a few other words I won’t repeat. Lucky I know my boyfriend wouldn’t do anything like that and is always in bed with me at night, or this could’ve really caused problems between us. They also tried ringing from a different number, but when we called back to tell them what we thought, it just said invalid number.

I've had this number calling me today, so I picked up, but all I heard was silence! To top it off, they tried to reach me on Viber afterwards! Seriously, some folks really need to find a hobby instead of harassing others. Absolute numpties! 😡

Had a cheeky call this morning from a bloke with a southern accent. He kicked things off with “Do you know who I am?” but the call swiftly ended when it became clear it was just a bit of a prank - or as I’d label it, a right numpty call. I’ve marked the number as a nuisance and sent over the details as you asked.

This idiot who's nicked my wifi might be a bit amusing normally, but he's rang my mum's number 4 times at 2 in the morning and she lives on her own! Proper annoying!

Received a call yesterday where someone introduced themselves as my wife’s acquaintance. I assured them that I don’t even know who they are! It’s all rather baffling, to say the least.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from a London court about unpaid car charges. He claimed I had a parking fine from '08 and started saying I was "too stupid to drive" or something like that on a citation. Then it switched to some nonsense about "you've been called by prankdials[###]". What a waste of time, this muppet should find a real job instead of pestering folks. Best just ignore it completely.

I received a call claiming I had placed an order for a pizza and that they required my address for delivery. Quite a trek to lug a pizza all the way to Cornwall, if you ask me! They phoned me four times, then even tried twice from a withheld number. Rather suspicious, don’t you think?
