4 yearsGot a call saying I had a warrant for my arrest and if I didn’t press 1, police would come to my house. I went ahead and pressed the button. Then, some Indian guy claimed to be from Birmingham Crown Court and HMRC, saying I’d dodged taxes and would be nicked by day’s end. He asked for my name, and when I questioned how he got my info, he just hung up. The start of the call was really convincing and pretty terrifying. Once I pressed 1 though, it felt like a total scam.
