02078909051 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02078909051 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance caller frequently misrepresenting as representatives from various banks or companies conducting surveys, often using personal names to gain trust. Many describe it as a scam or phishing attempt aiming to collect sensitive information, with calls originating from call centres, sometimes with poor audio quality or foreign accents. Targets frequently receive multiple calls daily, including outside reasonable hours, despite registrations to the Telephone Preference Service. Several complain of no message left and inconsistent or evasive responses when questioned about the call’s purpose or legitimacy. While some mention a link to market research firms, widespread suspicion remains regarding fraudulent intent. Users are advised not to disclose personal data, avoid engagement, report to relevant authorities, and block the number to prevent harassment.

They already had my name and asked me to take part in this 8 minute survey about my bank account, debit card, credit card and stuff with M&S bank. When I said I wasn’t interested, he tried asking if he could call me again later, but I just told him no straight away.

Curious, I inquired who they were, but the chap insisted that I had to answer some security questions before he could reveal anything. I firmly told him that I wasn’t prepared to share any information without knowing who he was, so I promptly ended the conversation. It felt a bit dodgy, to be honest!

These muppets ring you up, call your name, and claim it's some survey with a random bank's name just to get your private info. Every single call I get from 020 codes is just scammers and fraudsters. These no-good tossers and their numbers should be blocked and the people behind them put away. Proper fed up with these daft prats. Honestly, they can do one!!! These knobheads use Skype and pretend to have English names - yeah right?? Shame they can’t actually speak English and just ruin UK phone numbers.

It sounded like the caller had an Irish accent and wanted to chat to my husband by his first name. When I asked what it was about, he said he was doing a survey. I then asked what the survey was for, and he quickly used the usual Data Protection line. I told him that because of data protection rules, I wouldn't be passing him on to anyone. Unsurprisingly, the call just cut off. Don’t hand over any details to these muppets!

The bloke on the other end knew my name and wanted to chat about my Coventry Building Society account-very specific indeed! They kept ringing but I never answered. No voicemail either. When I looked it up on Google, I found a PDF on the GfK site. They say the numbers 02078 909051/52 or mobiles 07468 477277-07468 477283 belong to a market research company called GfK, with a TIS call centre at 66-68 Alma Street, Luton, Beds, LU1 2PL. This call is routed through a London phone exchange but comes from an international source. There are firms that lease these numbers to make you believe they're local in the UK. Usually, they're just scams, so don't share any details with them or you'll end up on a list for easy targets.

I received a call on my mobile at around 11 am on a Saturday from 0207-890-9052. It was a woman with a British Asian accent who said her name was Aisha Mazar. She told me she was ringing from GDCC to carry out a survey for a German firm called GSK. She asked for me by name, but I said I couldn’t put her through without knowing more about the call. Really hope the cops start treating these never-ending cold calls with more urgency. This one came from a London number, so surely it should be possible to track them down?
