02077850385 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02077850385 👆 is reported as a mixed source of legitimate DHL calls concerning import duty and VAT payments on parcels, alongside persistent scams impersonating DHL. Genuine calls typically notify recipients of outstanding customs charges and offer secure online payment options, especially for international shipments. However, many users warn of fraudulent calls, often from individuals with strong foreign accents, pressuring for immediate payment over the phone or via suspicious links. Scammers may possess personal details, making the deception more convincing. Recipients are advised to verify any demand for payments through official DHL channels or their website, avoid sharing card information over the phone, wait for formal invoices, and be cautious of repeated or aggressive contact. Vigilance is essential to distinguish between authentic courier communications and scams.

It was DHL that called me. Yesterday, I got a strange call from a guy with a thick accent, saying I had to pay some tax for a parcel. I felt a bit iffy about it, but my husband (he's the one who ordered it) is speaking with DHL at the moment, and apparently, it’s all genuine.

I reckon I've stumbled upon a right dodgy racket - and a clever one at that, nearly had me fooled. The caller purporting to be from DHL said there was a customs fee to settle for a package I supposedly sent to Japan. Now, I have dispatched and received items to and from Japan before, and all the relevant import taxes were handled directly through DHL in the past. But they had me briefly wondering if perhaps I owed something after all. What really threw me was that he seemed to know my name, the recipient's details, and the destination country. I requested that he send me confirmation via email or a written notice, but nothing has come through. My suspicions grew when he kept insisting I pay over the phone and began to get quite aggressive about it. Just a word of caution - stay vigilant!

DHL called me after I bought a suit from Tweedmaker. They told me I'd get a call from DHL to pay the VAT & duty directly. The suit arrived a few days back, then DHL sent a text saying the payment was needed. I got the call later since I couldn't pay earlier, but now Ive sorted it by using the link in the messages.

SCAM ALERT I’m with a shipping firm and one of our clients got a ring from this number claiming to be DHL and asking for payment for taxes and duties right over the phone. Thing is, my client never uses DHL for imports, so it was plain to see it was dodgy. I can’t believe how many glowing reviews there are here - almost like some of them are in on it. Seriously, grow up and find yourself a proper job. TOTAL SCAM.

This is DHL calling. They handle letting folks know if theres any duty to pay on a parcel thats been sent from overseas. Definitely not a scam.

I received two phone calls purportedly from DHL, both asking for payment. 1. The first caller had the tracking number for a parcel and insisted it was on hold pending VAT payment. The thing is, that package had already arrived, and the VAT was settled ages ago. 2. The second call was about some alleged tax owed, with the caller demanding payment over the phone. I usually handle such transactions through the official DHLSecure payment method, so I found it rather suspicious.

This is definitely a scam. They'll say they're sending an invoice by post but you won't ever receive anything. I’m with the others who said the positive green reviews are probably fake, done by some real sleazy people.

Yep, I’m certain it’s DHL cos I’m waitng for a package from China myself right now. They handle the VAT and import fees, then get the money when they deliver. It actually makes the delivery quicker. Ignore those folks chatting rubbish about how the taxes are taken, they’ve got no clue.

02077850385 IS A SCAM. They told me I had to pay some customs fees to get my parcel but I’d already got it earlier that day. They had no clue what was in the package. Total scam artists.

This is a legit call from DHL about VAT and import fees on your package. Don’t moan about it - we all have to pay taxes, especially when bringing things into the country! If the value is over £50, you’ll get charged, so just settle it. Not a scam, but don’t just ignore it or you’ll get into trouble. If you’re unsure, check their official website, it’s definitely safe.

Initially, I suspected it was some kind of scam, but turns out it’s a legit DHL number. I checked the tracking number mentioned in the voicemail on the DHL site, and there really was a package linked to it.

Fake DHL call. That bloke Pavithran was telling me to pay £27 for VAT and taxes. I said to him, am I bringing in a car or a bike to have to pay these fees? What kind of security does DHL actually offer to its customers? How do these dodgy fraudsters get hold of my address that I only gave to DHL??

DHL wanted me to cover import taxes, but I was surprised they had already settled that for us before dropping off the package - nice touch on their part. The chap I spoke to over the phone didn’t really sound very convincing though - could do with sounding a bit more professional.

This morning, on the 25th of September 2017, I had a phone call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent. She requested my email address for her company but, curiously, I’ve yet to receive any correspondence from her, even after several hours. When I attempted to return the call, it became apparent that the number seems to be non-functional. Quite baffling, really!

Authentic Number. This number called me about picking up my laptop which I’d reported as faulty through the Acer helpline the previous day. They seemed legit because they asked me to send proof of purchase to Acer by email. The guy on the phone sounded Indian but it’s just a call centre. I also googled the number as it seemed a bit suspicious at first.

Got a call from a lady saying she was from DHL, and she had every bit of my personal info. I asked her where she was based - she said INDIA. Then I wanted to know if she pays UK tax for working with DHL UK: she said NO. And any tax in Europe: NO again. So how come DHL is billing me UK VAT on a charge for a service that partly happens in India? It’s daft, especially when plenty of skilled folks here in the UK are struggling to find work!

Honestly, I can't say this enough, this really is the official DHL Import Duty & VAT charge. Someone mentioned that the payment link takes you to another site, but it's genuinely fine since the URL is epayments.dhl[###] - which is the correct DHL domain. If it were dhl.epayments[###] then yes, that’d be dodgy because the main domain would actually be epayments[###]. You gotta pay Import Duty and VAT when receiving packages from outside the EU. If you dodge that, HM Revenue & Customs could come after you.

Got a call from this number saying I owed £141.87 for a DHL payment. They gave an account number and a reference too. We do ship stuff from the US to our UK office 'cos we run an online business, but we hadn’t got any bill, so it felt a bit dodgy. I plugged the account and ref numbers into DHL’s site and nothing came up - then I saw all these comments! Really worrying, as loads of people here seem to be legit DHL customers. Has DHL’s IT system been compromised or something? Either way, whatever you do, don’t pay it!
