9 yearsI had a rather odd phone call at 2:15 a.m. on the 23rd of December back in 2017. The whole situation felt quite dodgy, as the gentleman on the other end inquired if I resided at a particular address-which, for clarity, I do not. I was in a deep slumber, so his words didn’t register much, and I simply ended the conversation by hanging up. What on earth compels someone to ring at such an ungodly hour, other than to fish for information? His voice bore an uncanny resemblance to that of a fraudulent policeman who had attempted to trick me just the week before, claiming my debit card was compromised. I certainly wasn’t born yesterday!
