This number has been ringing me loads over the past few days but whenever I pick up, there’s no one on the other end. If I don’t answer, they never leave a voicemail either. Today, I got an email from someone called Malika Johannes from Make it Cheaper Financial Services Ltd. She used my first name and said they’ve been trying to reach me about a business costs contract. The email warned that time’s running out to switch to a cheaper deal, or else my current contract could renew automatically at a rate that’s around 30% higher. She offered to find a better tariff by searching the market for free, but said we need to speak first to get things moving. The email even asked me to call 02076548729 and quote a reference number at the top of the message. I reckon this is related to an electricity contract for a local business I’m connected to, and they’re trying to set up a new deal to earn a commission. Either way, it feels like unsolicited spam to me.
