I just want to mention that Laithwaites don't harass people, they only send you mail and emails if you ask for it, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like. The only time they might phone you is if theres an issue with an order. Ive been a customer for over 15 years and have never experienced any sort of harassment, never had random calls that just end abruptly. Honestly, this sounds like a scammer trying to steal personal info. This number should definitely be reported and blocked from making calls.

Laithwaites Wine called me too. I’m already a customer, but like someone else mentioned, I don’t like feeling pushed into buying something they want me to get right now. If they want my business, they shouldn’t be making cold calls. I’ve blocked the number now and fingers crossed it actually stops. If it shows up again, I’ll just let it ring out and go to voicemail.

Got a call from Laithwaites, and the caller claimed I’d purchased wine from them before. I said no, but mentioned my son had. They didn't seem to listen and just kept rattling off some deals on wine like they were reading from a script. I cut them off and said I wasn’t interested in buying anything. Then the caller got all pushy, asking “why not?” so I just ended the call right there!

It appears to be some sort of wine subscription service. I've made it clear that if I'm in the mood for vino, I'll simply pop to Tesco. I've requested multiple times for them to remove my details from their list. I’m ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so they really shouldn’t be bothering me. Next time my phone rings with their number, I’ll blast a referee's whistle right into the receiver! That’ll teach them to stop pestering me. It certainly did the trick with Talk Talk!

I ringed them back and got an automated message saying it was Laithwaites and they’d phone me again. It said if I didn’t want more calls, I should ring 0800 665430. So, I did. Another automated voice asked me to enter my number. They said it would take up to 24 hours to sort it out and then no more calls. Honestly, after this, I’ll never be buying from such a rude company again.
