I got a call from someone saying they were conducting a survey, but it felt really dodgy. The background noise gave it away, sounds like an Indian call centre with loads of people talking in the background. They’ve been calling me from different UK numbers for days. They already knew my name and kept asking for personal stuff like my age, address, and job, supposedly for some living survey. Really sketchy, and they’d just hang up if you didn’t answer their questions how they wanted. At one point they even tried to get me to say “British Gas” on the phone, no idea why.

This has got scam written all over it - someone phoned me pretending to be from HMRC and said they were going to take legal steps against me.

Got two calls back to back at the exact same time and they didn’t even bother leaving a voicemail. Blocked the number now.
