Utterly fraudulent! I received a call claiming there was a warrant out for me, delivered by a robotic voice. I, rather foolishly, pressed 1 and was then greeted by a chap with a thick Indian accent who promptly wanted my name. I flipped the script on him and said, “You initiated this call regarding an arrest warrant; why don’t you tell me my name?” He, of course, asked me for my name yet again, to which I pointed out, “If there’s truly a warrant against me, you ought to know my name, you daft scammer!” Laughable, isn't it? :)))

What a dodgy call! I received a pre-recorded message stating that I was supposedly being investigated for tax evasion and that a warrant for my arrest was forthcoming. It told me to hit 1 for further details... I can only imagine that it either rips you off with outrageous fees or connects you to some con artist eager to harvest your banking information.
