I gave UK Models a go, and I must say, what an utter blunder that turned out to be! Don't be taken in by the glitz; it’s not a genuine modelling agency and, truth be told, landing a job is far from certain. It feels like a total waste of time and the whole operation comes across as more about lining their own pockets. They'll politely insist on a £50 deposit which, good luck getting back, and then they hit you with exorbitant charges for the photos. They might seem nice on the surface, but it's all just a ruse.

I recently encountered a firm by the name of UK Models. It appears they function more as a modelling search entity rather than a conventional agency. They entice you with a complimentary photoshoot, presumably to help you create a modelling portfolio with their images. Yet, I must say, their pricing is quite exorbitant, with starting packages ranging from £1599 to an eye-watering £4,000. They don't promise you any guaranteed work; instead, they claim to help you build your portfolio, leaving you to hunt for modelling gigs yourself. I’m grateful that the photoshoot for my daughter didn’t cost anything, as the quality of the images fell short of what I would anticipate given their charges. That said, I must commend them for their professionalism and friendly disposition throughout the experience.
