Today, we received a rather suspicious call from this number. The person on the line insisted they were with TalkTalk, claiming there was an issue with my broadband that they could assist with. However, when I asked to speak to a manager-as one does-the narrative swiftly shifted to proclaiming there was a virus infecting my computer. The incessant noise in the background and the distinctly Asian accent were pretty solid indicators that this was a phishing attempt. To top it off, when I tried to return the call, I was met with a message saying, "this number does not exist".

I’ve had a right nuisance from this number over the past month, receiving multiple calls. Today, I finally answered, but there was silence on the other end. I lost my patience and exclaimed, “What’s up with you lot?”. A woman with a noticeable accent responded with “You’re the stupid one” before hanging up. I've now blocked this cheeky number for good.

Rang me up purporting to be from Talk Talk, asserting my internet was compromised and they’d detected issues on their side. They wanted me to switch on my computer. As soon as I mentioned my background in IT, they abruptly ended the call. I'm highly suspicious this was a phishing attempt or even an ID theft scheme, especially if they were going to ask me to download some file and grant them full access to my machine...

I received a call claiming to be from TalkTalk, stating that my internet was running slowly. They inquired if I was experiencing any issues, but hung up when I responded with a 'no'. Prior to that, I got a missed call from a withheld number. The person on the line warned me that my internet would be disconnected within four hours. However, they abruptly ended the conversation when I asked for their contact details, as I wanted to do some checking. Quite suspicious behaviour if you ask me!
