Heads up, this number is dodgy! They pretend to be from TalkTalk, trying to tell you there’s an issue with your router. Don’t fall for it - it’s just a trick to steal your bank info. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away.

Today this number rang me up saying they where from Talk-Talk and that there was an issue with my internet that they could fix. When I asked to speak to their manager, the story switched to some kind of virus on my computer. I got suspicious coz I could hear loads of noise in the background and the caller sounded like they had an Asian accent. Tried calling the number back but it just said "number not recognized". Definitely felt like a phishing scam to me.

Over the past month, this number kept ringing me nonstop. Today, I finally answered but no one spoke until I blurted out, “What’s your problem, idiots?” Then, a woman with a foreign accent mocked me saying, “You’re stupid” before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Rang me up purporting to be from Talk Talk, asserting my internet was compromised and they’d detected issues on their side. They wanted me to switch on my computer. As soon as I mentioned my background in IT, they abruptly ended the call. I'm highly suspicious this was a phishing attempt or even an ID theft scheme, especially if they were going to ask me to download some file and grant them full access to my machine...

Got a call earlier on from someone claiming to be Talk Talk, wanted me to log into my account.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk about my internet running slow. When I told them everything was fine, they just hung up. Before that, I got another call from a blocked number warning my internet would be disconnected in 4 hours. I asked for their number to check it out properly, and they ended the call straight away.
