DO NOT share any personal info with them! They wanted me to install some app that tracked my phone, and even sent me an official looking document with my name on it - they seemed really convincing and nearly had me fooled... but then when they asked me to send all my Moonpay (crypto) funds over, I started getting wary and didn’t send a single penny.

A bit later, I got another call, this time from a number that seemed like it was from the Inner London Court, saying they had my case and needed to confirm my details. By then though, I decided to back off completely and just refused to engage, so they ended the call.

I just got a phone call from this number and honestly, it really freaked me out. I’m a genuine, hardworking taxpayer and they made it sound so real. The guy claimed to be 'Officer David Scott', gave me some badge number and told me there was a warrant for my arrest. He threatened that if I didn’t cough up £2,600, I could be looking at 15 years inside. I quickly searched the number online and found this website. So glad I did. Definitely a HMRC scam. At first, it sounded believable, even tho it didn’t fully add up, I thought maybe there was a mix-up. But as the call went along, the accent gave it away and the person got more annoyed since I wasn’t buying it. When I said I’d sort it out at an actual HMRC office, he just snapped back with, “fine, you’ll get arrested then,” proper unprofessional!

Some bloke rang me this morning claiming I was caught up in tax evasion. He wanted my home address to 'verify' who I was, then started giving me bogus court info. I got a call from a woman on this number saying I was behind on my tax and supposedly owed £1960. She asked me how much money I had in my bank and told me not to lie about it. Then she said I needed to come up with at least half the amount today or they’d issue a warrant for my arrest. I was really shaken and didn’t know what to do at first. Luckily, I rang a mate to get some advice, and they told me it was a scam and to never pick up calls from this number again. I was fortunate not to have much money anyway, but it was definitely a frightening ordeal.

Today I received a really scary call claiming to be from HMRC, from numbers 02072343100 and 07532746119, telling me I hadn’t paid my yearly tax and that I’d be arrested in an hour if I didn’t pay straight away online to some ‘investigating solicitors’ they said were linked to the Inner London Crown Court. They kept telling me to stay calm but were actually quite aggressive and rude, trying hard to pressure me into paying an alleged £900 tax on the phone.

Don’t trust anyone calling from this number. They’ll say they’re from HMRC and try to get you to send money to various bank accounts. The call might sound legit because the number looks official, but it’s all fake. This same number rang me and they came across as quite threatening. Since I'm a student, I got really nervous and ended up giving them my name, which I now really wish I hadn't. When I said I couldn't pay the £1783 they demanded, they asked how much I had and told me to just pay that, saying I'd get refunded within a day if it was a mistake. That's when I realised straight away it was a con. They even said if I hung up, the police would be sent after me, but I still ended the call. Good to know I’m not the only one dealing with this.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, said his name was officer Steve Parker, with some warrant ID 248/1965 and case number 89225412, calling from 02072343100. He threatened my friend that the police would come to arrest her in half an hour if she didn’t log into her account while on the phone and send money straight away! Total SCAM!!!!

Somebody with an Indian accent called, said they were from HMRC and claimed there was fraud on my account. Then they went and asked for my name, which seemed pretty suspicious to me, so I ended the call and searched the number. They phoned me back and quite aggressively asked 'why did you hang up?' I just hung up once more.

Had a call from some dodgy lot claiming to be HMRC, number was 01484261008. They’ve tried this scam on me before, so I gave them some rubbish name and address. Of course, they said they had my real info. Told them straight up it was a con. Then they tried to convince me by calling me back from 02072343100, same trick as last time. I got proper annoyed and gave them a piece of my mind for being total scammers. Said good luck blocking my bank account with all the fake info they’ve got, hope they choke on it.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, real scary and aggressive, telling me I was committing a crime and that the police were on their way if I didn’t admit it. Then, when it came to paying up, the voice suddenly changed to a British one. What a bunch of damn scammers, full of rubbish!

Definitely a scam, they ring up claiming to be HMRC and start throwing around threats about arrest for tax evasion unless you cough up money. Properly intimidating, but it’s just a con.

Received a call from a woman with an Indian accent - seemed like a total scam. Then, a bloke called right after, warning me I'd be arrested and that they’d take my house and passport away. Total rubbish, watch out!

Got a call yesterday from 07397615261 saying I was involved in some tax fraud crime and that I'd be arrested soon unless I paid a big sum. They said they'd ring me back with what to do next. This morning they called again but from 02072343100 - sounded exactly the same bloke. By then, I realised it was a scam and just told them to stop bothering me. Really pushy and full of scary threats, speaking in some sort of legal mumbo jumbo I couldn’t follow.

07172 491149 scam alert Got a call from someone saying she was Officer Susan White, badge number 98560SW. She mentioned a case number 892247615 and some warrant 248/1985. The woman said there were four criminal charges against me and I was facing five years inside unless I got a criminal lawyer. Then she gave me an option to just accept it was a mistake and hand over £1998. Later on, she phoned back from (020) 7234 3100. I didn't trust it so I looked up the number and landed on this site. Really disturbing stuff. The way she spoke was sharp and kind of threatening.

I actually enjoy dealing with scammers sometimes. I kept one hooked just long enough for them to spill the sort code and account number they expected me to send money to. Then, I quickly googled the sort code and found out which bank it belonged to. I got in touch with the bank and told them about the dodgy account. The scammer didn’t take it well at all, and kept asking about the strange music noise I had playing behind me.

I got a call from this number a minute ago, but when I answered, no one spoke and then the line just went dead. My phone said the call was from Inner London Crown Court, which really freaked me out.

This number rang me up claiming I owed more than £28,000 for taxes from 2018 to 2020. The woman on the line couldn’t provide any details about the employer who supposedly failed to pay my taxes, and she spoke in a really harsh and unpleasant way. After a long three-hour chat with HMRC, I realised it was a scam. Honestly, I’d warn anyone not to trust calls like this!

SCAM ALERT!!!!!! - Got a call claiming it's HMRC telling me they’re reviewing my taxes from the past 5 years. They said I messed up in 2016 and 2017 and owe £900 that has to be settled immediately or else. - They accused me of things like tax evasion and laundering, warning if I didn’t pay the £900, they’d freeze my bank account, confiscate my passport and even take away my driving licence. - Once the payment’s made, they said a case would be officially opened and I'd get some legal papers for an investigation that would follow. Total scam!

Somebody rang saying they were from HMRC. I pretended to be an elderly bloke, said I was vulnerable on my own since my missus passed away. Got all sorry and teared up a bit. Then I joked about how they knew about the bodies, telling them they were just in the garden. Still, the caller pushed for about 800 quid nonstop.
