FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, DO NOT SHARE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION! I was approached by someone who insisted I download a creepy app to track my phone, then they sent me a seemingly official document with my name. They seemed quite legit and nearly had me fooled, but when they pushed me to transfer my entire balance from Moonpay, which is related to cryptocurrencies, I thought better of it and held on to my cash.

Not long after, I received another call, this one from what appeared to be the Inner London Court's official line. They claimed to be handling my case and wanted to confirm my details. By that point, I’d wised up and opted not to engage, resulting in them promptly hanging up on me.

I've recently received a rather alarming call from this particular number, and as someone who values hard work and integrity, it truly rattled me. The individual on the line claimed to be Officer David Scott, complete with a badge number, and stated that there was an arrest warrant issued in my name. I received a call from this number, and frankly, it matched the experiences shared by others here. The caller claimed that I had outstanding payments related to tax evasion and threatened me with arrest unless I forked out £500 immediately. But as the call went along, the accent gave it away and the person got more annoyed since I wasn’t buying it. Some bloke rang me this morning claiming I was caught up in tax evasion. He wanted my home address to 'verify' who I was, then started giving me bogus court info. I got a call from a woman on this number saying I was behind on my tax and supposedly owed £1960. She asked me how much money I had in my bank and told me not to lie about it. Then she said I needed to come up with at least half the amount today or they’d issue a warrant for my arrest. I was really shaken and didn’t know what to do at first. Luckily, I rang a mate to get some advice, and they told me it was a scam and to never pick up calls from this number again. I was fortunate not to have much money anyway, but it was definitely a frightening ordeal.

A lady rang me up but refused to share any details unless I gave her my info first. I said no way, as I wasn’t convinced she was legit. Today I received a really scary call claiming to be from HMRC, from numbers 02072343100 and 07532746119, telling me I hadn’t paid my yearly tax and that I’d be arrested in an hour if I didn’t pay straight away online to some ‘investigating solicitors’ they said were linked to the Inner London Crown Court. They kept telling me to stay calm but were actually quite aggressive and rude, trying hard to pressure me into paying an alleged £900 tax on the phone.

Someone rang me from this number claiming they were from HMRC. The bloke said his name was David Blake, but he had a clear Indian accent. I reckon it was a scam. Don’t trust anyone calling from this number. They’ll say they’re from HMRC and try to get you to send money to various bank accounts. The call might sound legit because the number looks official, but it’s all fake. Am primit un apel de la un număr care se prezintă ca fiind de la Curtea Regală (Tribunalul). Vorbesc într-un mod extrem de agresiv, întrebând dacă am fonduri în cont pentru a plăti diverse „amenzi” presupuse. Sunt cu adevărat convingători! Cred că autorităţile ar trebui să intervină. Persoanele oneste, precum şi străinii care nu sunt familiarizaţi cu legile, pot cădea pradă acestor escrocherii, temându-se că ar putea exista taxe pe care nu le cunosc şi, din bună credinţă, ar putea dori să plătească. Dacă aş putea, aş dori să colaborez pentru a-i prinde pe hoţi, însă nu stăpânesc foarte bine limba engleză. Dacă cineva care vorbeşte română şi ar dori să ajute este din rândul autorităţilor, vă rog să mă contactaţi. Vă doresc o zi fantastică şi sper să-i trimiteţi pe toţi escrocii la puşcărie!

Got a call from a bloke saying he was HMRC, asking for money. When I told him no, he started demanding naked photos! Reported it straight to the coppers. Bloody scammers, seriously! Stay clear and block that number!

Today, I got a call from a really pushy bloke on my mobile 07397601582 telling me I’m being looked into for tax fraud. I hung up, but then he rang back from 02072343100, saying he was in court, there’s a warrant for my arrest, and the police are coming. He kept trying to get my personal info, but I told him to do one! Still waiting on that arrest tho... wouldn’t mind the day off work, honestly! :)

This same number rang me and they came across as quite threatening. Since I'm a student, I got really nervous and ended up giving them my name, which I now really wish I hadn't. When I said I couldn't pay the £1783 they demanded, they asked how much I had and told me to just pay that, saying I'd get refunded within a day if it was a mistake. That's when I realised straight away it was a con. They even said if I hung up, the police would be sent after me, but I still ended the call. Good to know I’m not the only one dealing with this.

I received a voicemail from a bloke purporting to represent HMRC, threatening me with arrest if I didn’t pick up the call. Then there was a woman with an Indian accent who chimed in. Absolute scam!

scam call claiming to be from HMRC, I was a bit bored so I just kept messing with them, pretending I was about to burst into tears, and after about half an hour they finally gave up and ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, said his name was officer Steve Parker, with some warrant ID 248/1965 and case number 89225412, calling from 02072343100. He threatened my friend that the police would come to arrest her in half an hour if she didn’t log into her account while on the phone and send money straight away! Total SCAM!!!!

Somebody with an Indian accent called, said they were from HMRC and claimed there was fraud on my account. Then they went and asked for my name, which seemed pretty suspicious to me, so I ended the call and searched the number. They phoned me back and quite aggressively asked 'why did you hang up?' I just hung up once more.

Had a call from some dodgy lot claiming to be HMRC, number was 01484261008. They’ve tried this scam on me before, so I gave them some rubbish name and address. Of course, they said they had my real info. Told them straight up it was a con. Then they tried to convince me by calling me back from 02072343100, same trick as last time. I got proper annoyed and gave them a piece of my mind for being total scammers. Said good luck blocking my bank account with all the fake info they’ve got, hope they choke on it.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, real scary and aggressive, telling me I was committing a crime and that the police were on their way if I didn’t admit it. Then, when it came to paying up, the voice suddenly changed to a British one. What a bunch of damn scammers, full of rubbish!

Just wanted to reiterate this - it’s a pushy scammer posing as someone from HMRC, claiming folks are involved in tax evasion. They’re making alarming threats of imprisonment if payments aren’t made. Quite appalling, really!

Scam alert! I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent. Shortly after, a man came on the line, insisting that I was on the verge of arrest and that they would confiscate my house and passport. Absolutely ridiculous!

Got a call yesterday from 07397615261 saying I was involved in some tax fraud crime and that I'd be arrested soon unless I paid a big sum. They said they'd ring me back with what to do next. This morning they called again but from 02072343100 - sounded exactly the same bloke. By then, I realised it was a scam and just told them to stop bothering me. Really pushy and full of scary threats, speaking in some sort of legal mumbo jumbo I couldn’t follow.

07172 491149 scam alert Got a call from someone saying she was Officer Susan White, badge number 98560SW. She mentioned a case number 892247615 and some warrant 248/1985. The woman said there were four criminal charges against me and I was facing five years inside unless I got a criminal lawyer. Then she gave me an option to just accept it was a mistake and hand over £1998. Later on, she phoned back from (020) 7234 3100. I didn't trust it so I looked up the number and landed on this site. Really disturbing stuff. The way she spoke was sharp and kind of threatening.

I actually enjoy dealing with scammers sometimes. I kept one hooked just long enough for them to spill the sort code and account number they expected me to send money to. Then, I quickly googled the sort code and found out which bank it belonged to. I got in touch with the bank and told them about the dodgy account. The scammer didn’t take it well at all, and kept asking about the strange music noise I had playing behind me.

I got a call from this number a minute ago, but when I answered, no one spoke and then the line just went dead. My phone said the call was from Inner London Crown Court, which really freaked me out.

I received a rather alarming phone call from this number concerning an alleged tax bill exceeding £28,000 from the tax years spanning 2018 to 2020. The woman on the other end was rather brusque and failed to provide any details about the employer responsible for this supposed non-payment of taxes. After spending a tiresome three hours on the phone with HMRC, I realised it was nothing more than a scam. I strongly urge everyone to be wary and not to engage with such dubious calls!

SCAM ALERT!!!!!! - Got a call claiming it's HMRC telling me they’re reviewing my taxes from the past 5 years. They said I messed up in 2016 and 2017 and owe £900 that has to be settled immediately or else. - They accused me of things like tax evasion and laundering, warning if I didn’t pay the £900, they’d freeze my bank account, confiscate my passport and even take away my driving licence. - Once the payment’s made, they said a case would be officially opened and I'd get some legal papers for an investigation that would follow. Total scam!

I received a phone call from this number, and the caller claimed to be from HMRC. They were insisting that I need to settle a tax debt of £996. It was all rather puzzling, as my employer, DE, typically handles everything related to tax and ensures I'm on the correct tax code.

Somebody rang saying they were from HMRC. I pretended to be an elderly bloke, said I was vulnerable on my own since my missus passed away. Got all sorry and teared up a bit. Then I joked about how they knew about the bodies, telling them they were just in the garden. Still, the caller pushed for about 800 quid nonstop.

They've been quite forceful, claiming that I’d be arrested within three-quarters of an hour and that they would take possession of my home, vehicle, passport, and driving licence.
Best to disconnect right away!
