2 yearsI've received calls today from three different numbers: 02038960118, 02072257945, and 02038978618. Each time, an Indian woman has claimed to be from BT Openreach, stating that my IP address is exposed and needs to be kept private. They were inquiring whether I use the internet on a daily basis. It seemed quite fishy, and they attempted to persuade me to log into some sort of device to 'secure' my connection. At that point, I decided to terminate the call. They proceeded to ring me back six times, but I let the answerphone take the brunt of it until they finally ceased. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!BT Openreach2 yearsI received a call from a woman claiming to be from Open Reach. She inquired whether I'd made any adjustments to my internet settings, suggesting they might have already been altered or were going to be soon. I expressed my uncertainty about her identity, and just like that, she hung up.Open Reach2 yearsI received a rather suspicious call this morning from a gentleman with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT Open Reach. He informed me that my broadband connection was operating on a public network rather than a private one. He further inquired whether I had made any changes to my settings in the past few days and wanted access to my device to help resolve the situation. According to him, being on a public setting posed significant risks, potentially allowing others to access my accounts, which I found quite laughable! When I chuckled at the absurdity of it all, he questioned my amusement. I informed him that it was the cacophony of a call centre in the background that suggested he might be attempting to swindle unsuspecting or vulnerable individuals. At that point, I decided to end the call. I urge everyone to stay vigilant and not to give such callers the time of day!BT Open Reach3 yearsClaiming to be from the security team of my bank, stating there's been dodgy transactions on my account. There was a recorded voice saying there was a dodgy Amazon payment for £300 and another for £1100 overseas. They gave me two choices, one to cancel the payments and the other to talk to “someone”. Definitely a scam trying to trick you.Amazon3 yearsGot a call from this number saying there was weird activity on my bank account. The voice wasn’t even human, sounded like a robot or something.
