Had this number ring me twice today in less than an hour. The person on the phone was pretty dodgy and didn’t answer properly when I questioned them. I know HMRC usually posts official letters, not calls, and I have seen a fake letter before claiming to be from HMRC asking for National Insurance info. Seriously, it felt off from the start. Best to avoid and trust your instincts if something doesn’t sound right. Total red flag!
