Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I was going to be taken to court for tax dodging. Totally dodgy scammers trying to scare me.

I got a voicemail but couldn’t really understand much due to loads of background noise. From what I could catch, it sounded like they were warning about legal trouble if I didn’t respond or something like that.

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from HMRC, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I recently received a dubious call, during which they hinted at pursuing legal proceedings against me. It's absolutely baffling. Why is it that these individuals aren't brought to justice? What is holding the authorities back from arresting them or taking them to court? It seems incredibly challenging to lodge a report about these scams, and yet, there’s little to no visible action taken to ensure our safety. It’s quite disheartening, really.

some guy called me claiming i’m getting charged for dodging tax. I told him all this stress is killin me and he quickly switched gears, claimin I’m owed £488 and asked for my card info. I called him a complete conman and he just hung up. sounded like an irish dude. why are the coppers and b.t. just letting these scammers get away with it?

Got a call earlier and they left a voicemail claiming it was a final warning from HMRC about some lawsuit in my name. I haven’t bothered calling them back at all.

I can't believe some folks still get sucked into this stuff. The guy called himself Officer W Walter or something like that. Best steer clear of them.

Honestly, they should probaly be looked into, caught, and face charges. Talking about taking more legal steps is a joke.

This number rang me up a while ago claiming something about me dodging tax. First, they asked for some person who isn’t me, then finally got my name. I didn’t give them my real address and said I have no clue what they’re on about. Told them I haven’t had any letters or anything from HMRC. Said I’d only believe it if I got something official in the post. After that, they just ended the call. Looks like a total scam to me, definitely not legit.

This number called me and there was a recorded message with a lot of noise in the background, claiming it was a last warning from HMRE. Somehow, it didn’t feel genuine at all to me.

I’ve been getting these strange robo calls from this number, telling me it’s a final notice to dodge a legal case against me. It sounds really urgent and they keep saying I need to ring them straight away. Today alone I got three calls from this number, plus two more from a different London area code, and one from Southampton. They all had the same message, but one even claimed to be from HM Revenue. Funny thing is, when I looked into that Southampton number, it actually led back to China!
