Seems like a dodgy number, acting like they’re selling something but it’s definitely a scam.

I got an email that looked like it came from Ebay saying I’d bought an Acer laptop. The message told me to call a number if I hadn’t received it. Turns out it’s a scam, so don’t bother ringing that number!

Watch out, this is totally a scam! Got an email claiming to be from eBay’s fraud team saying someone bought a £700 Apple Watch using my account. Don’t fall for it!

Got an email saying I'd dropped almost £2,000 on eBay and they were sending my order somewhere random. They included a phone number to supposedly track the parcel. Total scam!

Got a message about a slimline Acer worth £570 supposedly arriving today. They even gave me a number to confirm if I got it or not. The eBay invoice looked legit at first glance. Didn’t buy it though, and just ignored the whole thing. Classic scam, I reckon.

Total scam, just hang up and block them!

Got a number from one of those bogus ebay "shipment confirmation" emails about some pricey Apple gadget. I guess the whole plan is to make you freak out and ring that number, where they’ll try to squeeze out your card info and other personal stuff. Definitely don’t ring it - these messages and that phone number are just a total scam.

I didn’t get a call or text, but this number popped up in an email that looked like it was from eBay. It said an Apple Watch had been bought, even included a delivery address in Grange-over-Sands LA11 6QA, but there was no name of who it was for. Definitely looks like an Apple Watch scam email to me.

I just got a call from someone pretending to be eBay's fraud team, saying there was a £700 Apple Watch bought on my account. They told me if I didn’t make the purchase, I had to share my bank info so they could sort out a refund. Seems like a total scam to me!

I got sent a bogus invoice for an Apple Watch from eBay costing £708, but I never bought anything like that. The invoice told me to ring this number if I hadn’t placed the order. I rang up eBay and they said the number’s got no connection to them and confirmed I haven’t ordered any watch or anything recently. I’m not planning to call that number because I reckon either (a) they’ll put me on hold and charge me 16p a minute or (b) some dodgy scammer will try to con me out of money somehow.

Got a dodgy email saying I bought some pricey gadget, then they gave me this number to ring up if I questioned it. Honestly, it’s pretty pathetic. If this is the best trick this scammer’s got, he’s gonna be starving soon enough...

Got an email saying I've bought a computer I never asked for, telling me to ring this number. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Right, so this wasn’t an actual phone call but rather an email trying to get me to ring a certain number. It claimed to be from Ebay and the sender showed up as “Shipment_Confirmation,” but the email address looked dodgy, something like [email protected]. The message said I’d bought a Sony Home Theatre system costing £1889.95, then mentioned a £1000 credit was applied - yeah right! It seemed like the whole scheme was to get you to dial the number, whether to dispute the purchase if you didn’t actually buy it or to track your shipment - again, seriously?! So, Lewis or Ari or whoever you are, if scamming is your game, you could definitely try harder. Honestly, maybe just quit and get a real job. Or better yet, try to do some good, join in with your community and give something back. You’d probably feel a lot happier for it!

I got a message from someone called Leo Collins claiming it was about an eBay purchase I never made. They told me to ring a number if I hadn’t ordered anything. It’s obvious a scam though - the eBay logo looked off and there were loads of typos and weird formatting in the message.

Got an email today about a Sony system delivery for £1889.95, which I definitely didn’t order. It said to call this number about fraud if it wasn’t my purchase. The email came from [email protected]. Bit fishy if you ask me!

I got this dodgy email from [email protected] saying I purchased some pricey gadget and asking me to ring them at this number to check. Honestly, what a pathetic scam. If this is their top trick, I reckon they won’t get far trying to make a living out of it...

So this was one of those Ebay cons, they try and get you to call them up and have a moan. Total scam, watch out!

I got a call from a number claiming to be eBay's Fraud Team. Then I received an email about an order, which looked like it was for a £567 laptop, set to be sent to some address in Grange-over-Sands. Like eBay recommends, I checked the 'Messages' section on their site, but there was nothing matching, so it seemed dodgy to me.
