Seems like a dodgy number, acting like they’re selling something but it’s definitely a scam.

I got an email that looked like it came from Ebay saying I’d bought an Acer laptop. The message told me to call a number if I hadn’t received it. Turns out it’s a scam, so don’t bother ringing that number!

Fraud alert-steer clear of this! I got an email purporting to be from the eBay fraud team, claiming that an Apple Watch worth £700 had been bought on my account.

Got an email saying I'd dropped almost £2,000 on eBay and they were sending my order somewhere random. They included a phone number to supposedly track the parcel. Total scam!

Got a message about a slimline Acer worth £570 supposedly arriving today. They even gave me a number to confirm if I got it or not. The eBay invoice looked legit at first glance. Didn’t buy it though, and just ignored the whole thing. Classic scam, I reckon.

Total scam, just hang up and block them!

Got a number from one of those bogus ebay "shipment confirmation" emails about some pricey Apple gadget. I guess the whole plan is to make you freak out and ring that number, where they’ll try to squeeze out your card info and other personal stuff. Definitely don’t ring it - these messages and that phone number are just a total scam.

I didn’t get a call or text, but this number popped up in an email that looked like it was from eBay. It said an Apple Watch had been bought, even included a delivery address in Grange-over-Sands LA11 6QA, but there was no name of who it was for. Definitely looks like an Apple Watch scam email to me.

I just got a call from someone pretending to be eBay's fraud team, saying there was a £700 Apple Watch bought on my account. They told me if I didn’t make the purchase, I had to share my bank info so they could sort out a refund. Seems like a total scam to me!

I got sent a bogus invoice for an Apple Watch from eBay costing £708, but I never bought anything like that. The invoice told me to ring this number if I hadn’t placed the order. I rang up eBay and they said the number’s got no connection to them and confirmed I haven’t ordered any watch or anything recently. I’m not planning to call that number because I reckon either (a) they’ll put me on hold and charge me 16p a minute or (b) some dodgy scammer will try to con me out of money somehow.

Got a dodgy email saying I bought some pricey gadget, then they gave me this number to ring up if I questioned it. Honestly, it’s pretty pathetic. If this is the best trick this scammer’s got, he’s gonna be starving soon enough...

Right then, not exactly a direct phone call, but rather an email that attempts to coax you into dialling this number. The email is crafted to look like it’s from Ebay, but the sender hides behind the address “Shipment_Confirmation,” which a quick inspection reveals as [email protected]. In this message, they claim I've bought a Sony Home Theatre system for a whopping £1889.95! But lo and behold, it states that a credit of £1000 has been issued - as if! The entire charade is clearly designed to pressure you into calling this number, whether you’ve made the purchase or not, or to track your so-called delivery - truly unbelievable! So to whoever is behind this little ruse - be it Lewis, Ari, or any other alias you fancy - you really ought to up your game if you’re trying to fleece folks. Honestly, it might be wiser to find a legitimate job or better yet, lend a helping hand to others instead. Contributing to the community could do wonders for your morale!

I've had a similar experience - received a call from someone claiming to be Leo Collins regarding an eBay purchase I never made. They urged me to ring the number if I hadn’t ordered anything. It’s blatantly a scam; the eBay logo is off, and the message is riddled with spelling errors and poor formatting. Absolute rubbish!

I've received a dodgy email from <[email protected]> alleging that I’ve purchased an extravagant item. They've provided a phone number for inquiries. What a feeble attempt! Honestly, I can’t help but imagine this scammer might end up on a starvation diet if this is their top strategy...

I've come across a number that's purportedly from eBay's Fraud Department. It was attached to an email that supposedly confirmed an order for a laptop costing £567, set to be shipped to a location in Grange over Sands. Following eBay's usual advice, I checked my 'Messages' section, where I would expect to find a matching notification if it were legitimate.
