Just got scammed by a caller from this number, and honestly it’s shocking how convincing they were. I’m usually pretty sharp and can spot a con from a mile off, but they still managed to trick me. I even mentioned having cancer recently, hoping it would put them off, but no, they went ahead and swindled me out of £1500. Now all I can do is wait and hope to get some of that money back, though I’m not holding my breath. Be careful and don’t share any details if this number rings you.

These cruel scammers totally deserve a right doing for targeting unsuspecting folks, especially those who are struggling or just trying to make an honest living.

I just got a call from 01173182439, supposedly from Claimback claims, saying I’m owed £3639 for PPI plus interest. They wanted me to pay 11% commission via a gift card! That’s a joke, especially since someone already brought me a cheque and £1200 in cash. I mentioned I’d talk to the police fraud unit and they ended the call straight away. Honestly, don’t get caught out by this one.

Someone called me saying I was due some money back and it was a scam. They claimed they’d visit my home with cash and a cheque. I warned them I’d report the number to the police, and they quickly hung up. Watch out, it’s all a big con.

Got a call today from the same company, but this time a different number: 01172300775. A woman named Ailee was on the line. They used the exact same spiel about cheques and cash. Watch out, folks.

Got a call about some chargeback thing, saying I'd get £3639 for a PPI claim from Lombard Direct, which I've never heard of! The lady on the phone was Ruby, she gave me an ID and a reference number, then passed me on to 'Joe' in accounts. He said he’d come round to pay me in cash and cheque. It was obvious a scam, so I reported it to the police who advised me to block them straight away. Watch out, don’t fall for this sort of trickery.

That foreign woman continues to ring, and we just received yet another call from her. The way she mispronounced our name set off several warning signals. I strongly advise against returning her call or contacting anyone associated with that number. What's particularly concerning is their knowledge of our banking details; it really makes one wonder where they manage to acquire such sensitive information.

Got call from 02032901020, same sort of scam. Wasn’t having it when they said I had to pay some ‘fee’ with an Apple Tunes card instead of just deducting it from the money they supposedly owed me. When I asked about it, they said they’d send a form to cancel the whole thing! Honestly, these people are the worst - jail doesn’t seem enough, feels like they deserve something much harsher.

I got a voicemail earlier saying I’d won my PPI claim with Black Horse Finance or something like that. Weird, cause I don’t recall putting in any claim at all. They wanted me to call back on a number and ask for extension 321. Obviously, I didn’t bother calling them back!

I got a call from someone called "Ruby" telling me I was owed £369 from Barclays. I knew it was dodgy, so I called the number back. The bloke on the other end sounded really groggy, like he’d just rolled out of bed or was in the loo. When I started questioning him, he told me I had to call from a landline, not my mobile. After I kept pressing him a bit more, he just hung up and disappeared. BEWARE, it’s definitely a scam!

Got a call from an Asian lady saying I’d supposedly put in a PPI claim ages ago. She mentioned the payout could come as cash or a cheque. Never heard from her again after that.

Beware, folks! I just experienced something similar - they sent a cheque for £2439 and had £1200 in cash, insisting that I buy £360 worth of iTunes vouchers first. It’s utterly dodgy! Don’t be taken in by this clever trickery; it’s a massive scam! Stay vigilant!

Caution! This phone number belongs to a dubious individual who claims you’ve won a hefty sum in compensation for charge back requests. They’ll toss around claim IDs and reference numbers to lend some legitimacy, then urge you to get in touch with their so-called accounts team to sort out the payment. We didn’t proceed any further, but it’s safe to assume they’ll try and extract your banking details for the payout. We’re planning to escalate this matter to the Financial Ombudsman. In the meantime, steer clear of this one!

On the 11th of August, 2017, I received a call suggesting I was due a refund on my PPI. Having previously been informed that I wasn't owed anything, I immediately recognised it as a scam. It's concerning, really; those who might be uncertain could easily fall prey and return the call, potentially getting ripped off. Action needs to be taken to protect unsuspecting individuals from these deceitful practices.

Got a call from an Asian lady who said her name was Rosie, telling me there was a big PPI refund I could get. She even knew my full name and which bank I use, which was kinda creepy. But I knew it was dodgy since I don’t have any PPI claims at all. Just a heads up to watch out for this one!

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming there was £3,700 waiting for us at TSB. She left a message asking me to ring her back on 0207 193 595, ext 306. The line was really dodgy, like she was somewhere in the mountains of Asia or something. Honestly, I wish the authorities would track down these scammers and shut down their call centres before they manage to fool some vulnerable elderly folks!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from Charge Back Claims, saying I was owed £3,639 for some kind of POI claim. Then they asked me to buy an iPhone voucher worth £360 as their commission. That was the moment I told them it sounded like a total con and hung up. Honestly, how is it even allowed for these lot to operate like this??

Absolutely feels like déjà vu! I had a rather peculiar phone call today from a place called Chargeback Claims. They were touting that they've got a cheque waiting for me, a princely sum of £2439, along with an additional £1200 in cash. They insisted I ring them back on this number and provide a claims reference. I couldn't help but think that this isn't really the standard protocol for business dealings! Naturally, it's tempting to get one's hands on some easy money, but I’d advise everyone to consult with their bank before diving into such offers. Best to err on the side of caution, I say!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent, her English was quite broken and hard to catch. She wanted to talk to my missus but when I said she wasn’t in, she asked me to tell her she’d won her PPI claim from Barclays and to call back when she was home. I just said she wouldn’t be calling and hung up straight away.

I got a call from a woman named Ruby, she didn’t speak English very well, sounded Asian maybe? She said I had some kind of PPI refund from Barclays. Ruby asked me to ring a certain number, and if I gave them my details, they’d send me a cheque plus £1200 cash. They already seem to know my name, address and phone. Is there a way I can block this number? Feels like a scam trying to grab your personal info.

Three calls from this number so far. When I asked if they were a legitimate company, they confirmed they were. They left a message asking me to call back and speak to a woman. I rang back but she wasn’t available. Feels really sketchy to me.

I received a rather peculiar voicemail from this number, featuring a distinctly foreign accent. The caller claimed that a cheque for £2439 had been issued by Barclays as compensation for PPI charges. It strikes me as rather odd, considering I've never pursued any PPI claims myself. They urged me to call back and speak to someone who sounded like 'Shairnon' on extension 306, from a company named Charge Back. I’ve refrained from returning the call, instead opting to do a bit of research online. To my surprise, I couldn't find any trace of the company or their contact details, which makes me quite sceptical. A few years back, I had a conversation with Barclays, and they assured me there weren't any PPI charges associated with my account. Best to steer clear of this one, I reckon!

A woman with a foreign accent rang me up, claiming that my bank is set to reimburse me for the interest I paid on a loan back in the 90s. The name of the company she mentioned was Charge Back. She provided me with her name and extension number, instructing me to ring up a specific number to quote a reference and ID she had given me. According to her, I was due to receive a cheque for £24,039 and an additional £1,200 in cash. When I inquired about their regulation, she seemed to dodge the question repeatedly. I haven’t returned her call yet, but I definitely plan on reaching out to my bank about this.

Hello there, this number contacted me on the 22nd of June, leaving a message regarding my husband's PPI, claiming a cheque for £2000 was awaiting collection. They urged me to call back for further details. In my naivety, I returned the call, and the woman assured me that the one who spoke to my husband would ring me back. However, I'm still waiting for that call. Is this just a scam or one of those dodgy numbers that rack up charges when you return a call?

Honestly, if anyone tells you to ring this number, be careful, it's dodgy. They try to get you to spill personal info you really shouldn't share.
