Last summer I got caught up in a police inquiry linked to this number. The officers advised me to check this site out. What made it worse is I was expecting a call from Barclaycard because my PPI firm had warned me about it following an ombudsman review. Coincidentally, the fraudsters picked Barclaycard to impersonate, so the scam call came just a few days after. Proper unlucky!

Got two calls saying I was owed money from a PPI claim with VW finance, one said it was £2439 and the other one £3000, both from 02071933179. Since I actually did finance through VW, I was a bit interested so I rang them up to see about getting the cheques sent over - but no one picked up on either number!

Got a call from someone named Aled who said Lloyd’s tsbc was about to give my Nan £3,000 but she was supposed to pay them £300 first, like 10%. They mentioned some bloke called Mark White was going to rock up in a van later that day. Nan found the whole thing so daft she was in tears laughing and kept egging them on. Still no sign of this Mark, and in the end, he just hung up on her!

Someone called James with a strange accent keeps ringing from this number, saying he’s from "Black Horse Finance." He’s left loads of messages about some cheque for around £2,000 or sometimes £3,000 from a PPI claim. Honestly, people like this should be really ashamed of themselves... why not get a proper job like the rest of us who actually work hard? I feel so sorry for trusting folks, especially the elderly, who might fall for this sort of rubbish!

17/07/20 - I got a call from someone called Rebecca saying she'd got £3000.00 waiting for me from a PPI refund but I had to pay £275.00 first in iTunes vouchers as a "commission" that supposedly had to be declared to the government. When she asked for the money, I told her it really sounded dodgy. She insisted they were legit and told me I could look them up on Google. Since I didn’t have my laptop with me then, I just hung up. A few minutes later, I called the number she gave me and she picked up straight away. Obviously, I didn’t send any money! This morning, I tried the number again and a woman who sounded like Rebecca answered. I asked the company's name and she said Consumer Claims Ltd. I googled them straight away and found this site, so thought I’d leave my experience here.

Got a call earlier from this number, and the person said they were calling from Lloyds Bank about my PPI claim. Thing is, I had no idea I ever put in a claim in the first place! Bit strange if you ask me.

He told me his name, can’t really remember it, sounded like a pretty common British name but he did have a bit of an accent, maybe from abroad. Claimed to be ringing from Barclays Bank. I just didn't see any reason for them to call me, so I said "I’m not buying that" and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be John about PPI today. I cut him off quick and blocked the number straight away. After that, he kept trying to ring me but my phone didn’t even buzz. He did say his name ‘John’ on the first call, thinking it might trick me, but luckily I’ve got Sky Talk Shield set up so nothing got through.

Got a call earlier claiming I have £3000 waiting from PPL, left a voice message, rang back and now I'm waiting for someone named Jessica to return my call. Strange thing is, Jessica was out of the office when I called, and now I'm told a "Mark White" will be dropping by with cash and a cheque. How can he be carrying that much cash around? Seems weird to me. If this was legit, why not just send a letter with the cheque enclosed? Mark White's probably in for a surprise, 'cause I definitely don't have £250 ready to hand over.

The police know about this scam so it’s best to report these scammers to the fraud team first thing Tuesday morning once the bank holiday is over. They tried messing with me this morning too. I called them back and told them the bobbies are onto their game. Watch out, they really give it a go.

Hey, just got a call like the one mentioned here. Someone claiming to be from Tesco PI refund said I was owed £3000, but then they asked me to buy a £275 iTunes voucher to cover some sort of ‘claims company’ charge. I nearly fell for it since I did recently send Tesco a letter about PPI, so be careful out there!

I received a voicemail from this number claiming to be "Jessica from HSBC", stating that my PPI claim for £3,000 has been approved and asking me to return her call. (I definitely did not!). The thing is, I don’t have an account with HSBC, nor was I anticipating any updates regarding PPI claims, so it’s fairly obvious this is a scam.

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Jennifer and claimed she was working for Lloyds TSB as a claims officer. She told me I was owed £3,000 for some PPI interest and started rattling off reference numbers and a customer ID. She gave me a number to ring back, saying I needed to use extension 111. Then she mentioned we’d need to pay them a £250 ‘commission’. To make it sound even dodgier, she said a guy called James Cooper would visit our home with £900 in cash, and the rest would come via a certified cheque. Total scam, if you ask me. Oh, and she said she’d ring back at 5 pm to speak to my husband - fat chance of that happening.

I got a call where a woman said I needed to buy an iTunes card and load £250 onto it. She said she’d call me back in an hour after I did that. When I called back, she said her name was Jess and mentioned someone called James Cooper would get in touch. When she phoned again, my daughter picked up but said it wasn’t them and then started swearing. I ended the call there. She rang me once more and told me to basically get lost.
