Honestly, BT should really sort out who’s behind these calls and pass the info on to the cops. Then maybe they’d actually get taken to court for this. It’s frustrating they don’t seem to be able to track these people down.

Got a call earlier today around 10:13am from 02071931644. The bloke on the line had an Asian accent and claimed to be from Lyca Mobile customer support. He said I’d won £50,000 in some Lyca prize draw. He instructed me to pop into any Barclays branch where they’d give me a reference number and then I’d be able to collect the cash within 10 minutes. Just as I was about to ask more questions, the caller suddenly hung up. Trying to scam people like this is just wrong.

This number rang me up claiming to be from Lyka, saying I’d won £50,000. They mentioned they’d send a text to 'prove' they’re legit, which anyone could easily fake. They were really courteous and tried pushing me to believe them, but it all ends with them asking for £450 as 'bank fees'. I cheekily told them to just take the £450 out of my supposed winnings :p. Guess that didn’t go down well because they hung up on me and even started swearing. Honestly, it’s definitely a SCAM.

Was definitely a scam, but they handled it in such a shoddy way it was almost hilarious.

Got a call off this number from some bloke with a Pak*stani accent claiming to be with Laika Mobile (which ironically, I actually use). He tells me I’d won £50,000.00. He then said I need to pop into Barclays, and once I’m there, he’d ring me back with a reference code so I could get the cash out within 10 minutes. Is this some new sort of scandal we’re dealing with in post-Brexit UK or what?

Got a call from someone saying they were from EE saying we had won £50,000. Then they suddenly started speaking in Hindi. Definitely a scam. Told them to just keep the fake prize for themselves and share it with their family!
