I’ve come across a firm by the name of Vero Energy UK. They’ve been advertising carbon credits for sale, but I can’t shake the feeling that it’s all a ruse. It appears to be one of those “if it sounds too good to be true” situations, and honestly, it probably is.

Vero Energy Limited is nothing but a financial con. I’ve unfortunately been swindled by them, and I’ve already lodged a complaint with Action Fraud. Their contact number is 0300 183 240. I keep receiving persistent calls from this number, but they never leave a message. I've chosen not to answer, as I tend to avoid unknown callers.

I've been inundated with calls from this number, yet they never leave a message. Is anyone else experiencing the same? Does anyone have a clue as to who these callers might be? When I answer, it’s just silence on the other end!

I’ve been getting calls from someone trying to pitch investment opportunities, but it’s all just a load of nonsense and there’s this annoying background chatter of dodgy trading advice.

I received calls from the same number on two occasions-once a few days back and again today. The earlier call was regarding carbon credits, while the most recent one was from Vero Energy.

On Monday, the 21st of May, 2012, I found myself on the receiving end of a call from a chap named Max Caldwell, who claimed to be a "Senior Trader" for Vero Energy. He made quite the bold assertion, claiming he could rake in profits exceeding 20% multiple times a year. He was quick on his feet with his words and rather elusive about how he obtained my information. I made sure to jot down all the relevant details during our chat, and he assured me he’d reach out again in a week’s time. True to his word, he contacted me once more at 4 PM on Thursday, the 24th of May. However, this time he seemed rather impatient to get me to sign a contract. When I explained that I hadn’t yet conducted my due diligence, he appeared quite affronted. According to him, I should have been so eager that I’d completed my research without delay, stating it should only take about 45 minutes to do so. I countered that my approach to due diligence typically spans several days, at minimum. Then came the classic sales pressure tactic-trying to instil a sense of urgency with the dreaded "fear of loss" line, suggesting that if I didn’t act quickly, I’d miss out on something monumental. When I stood firm and asserted that I wouldn’t be hurried into making a decision, he abruptly made his excuses and ended the call. It raises a real concern that this company might be preying on those who are susceptible, naïve, or overly eager to get rich quick, and I truly believe they deserve to be called out for their questionable practices.
