Someone saying they were from HMRC called me up, saying there's some criminal case against me and that if I don't sort it out right away, I'll end up getting prosecuted. They told me to ring another number, but I didn’t bother noting it down. Felt like a total scam to me.

Just got a call from 02071754882 claiming to be from customs and excise or somethin' like HMRC. I’ve already sent a report to both customs fraud team and HMRC about it - they gave me the reference number NFCR 180102184. If you get a call like this, be sure to ring HRMC fraud line at 03001232040 and let them know what's goin' on!

These people are total cowards, using scary phrases like "we're keeping an eye on your home" to intimidate folks. It’s shocking how they target those more vulnerable, and sadly, some end up falling for their tricks. Honestly, I’d love to cross paths with these lot on the rugby pitch and show them what I think of their rubbish behaviour!

It's clear these callers are nothing but a scam. Just block them and move on with your day. If it were the genuine HMRC, they'd properly correspond with you in writing before reaching out by phone. So, don't bother your head with these nuisances-just brush them off and carry on with your life! What a bunch of ridiculous time wasters!

This number ringed me and when I began asking some questions the caller suddenly changed his tone and started saying there was some warrant for my arrest and that I'd be held in custody for two to three days before the court hearing. That’s when I realised it’s a total con. Really hope folks don’t get caught out by this one.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be HMRC. The voice was robotic and sounded like a woman, saying something like "This is HMRC, you need to ring this number straight away, you’re being investigated and legal steps are happening, your property is being watched." The number they gave was 02071754882. Just a heads up, it’s definitely a scam so don’t fall for it.

Something really spooky happened to me too, it freaked me out completely. I rang them back and gave my name, and somehow this person already had my full address. They said I was being hunted for dodging taxes, and when I asked what it was all about, they just cut me off. Getting that voicemail gave me such a shock!

I got a call with the same robotic lady’s voice, saying something about my home being watched and if I didn’t ring back quickly, I might get in trouble legally! It sounded fishy, but I was a bit anxious. When I called the number back, a bloke with a Russian accent asked me for my name. I told him I wanted to know who I was talking to first, but he just ended the call straight away. Tried calling two more times and each time the line just dropped as soon as it connected. Definitely feels like some sort of scam going on.

Got a call from some woman with a robotic voice saying it was HMRC, telling me I’m being watched and investigated. The number was 02071754882. I tried calling back and some bloke answered, sounded totally uninterested and claimed he was from HMRC, then just hung up on me. I tried ringing three more times and every time they cut me off. Proper annoying, made me fuming. I’m thinking about reporting it to the police, although on my own it might not help much. But if loads of people did, maybe something would happen.

I've just gone through what a few others mentioned about this number, and honestly, it freaked me out a bit. So this scammer called me pretending to be some HMRC tax officer, telling me I owed £963 and if I didn’t pay up they’d hit me with a £1500 fine. It’s mad because a mate of mine just had the exact same thing after doing his tax return. Honestly, I reckon they’re somehow getting our numbers straight from HMRC’s system. Watch out for these lot, they deserve to be behind bars!

I received a missed call from this number and decided to ring them back. A chap on the other end of the line began rambling on about some sort of tax issue with HMRC, claiming there was a legal case against me. Got a call from this number as well, and honestly, it gave me such a fright! The voice on the other end started yelling about me owing money and being involved in some fraud. They even said they’d take my house and freeze my bank accounts. They demanded I pay £1200 straight away. When I tried to say I’d ring back because I needed to sort it out properly, the bloke got all aggressive and pushy. I’m still feeling anxious from it. It’s horrible behaviour. Luckily, I looked up the number online quick smart and found it was a scam. Seriously, don’t bother calling them back!

Got a call from some random number with a recorded voice claiming I’m being investigated by HMRC and my home is supposedly being watched. They said I had to ring back to sort out these “legal issues.” Obviously, it’s a total scam. I’ve no clue what they think they’ll gain from it, but there’s no way I’m bothering to call them back. If HMRC were really involved, they’d send an official brown envelope or contact you personally. Plus, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t announce they’re watching you - the police handle that sort of thing, not HMRC.
