Just got a call about 5 minutes back from a guy with an Indian accent. He kept going on about needing to talk to the business owner, same old lines as before. Said he was from some company called Pyrex Metrics - some utility service or something - and that I’m apparently being charged way too much for electricity. I told him we’re not interested, which I’ve mentioned several times already. He then claims I hadn’t called him before, I said I had, and he just hung up on me. Typical annoying scam call really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from "UK Power Networks" about our electric meter. They said we were being overcharged by about £200 monthly. Oddly, they knew our supplier was SSE and were insisting that the meter was showing more usage than what we actually consumed. Felt a bit off, not sure what it was about.

Just like many others here, I got a call from someone with an Indian-ish accent pretending to be from UK Power Networks. They said I was being billed for 11,000kwh a year but it should be somewhere between 6-7,000kwh - which is nowhere near right! The guy barely knew anything, probably only enough to fool people who aren’t paying close attention. He kept trying to get loads of my details but when I asked for some proper info in writing, he suddenly couldn’t do that. Definitely felt like a total con.

Seems like they think we’re paying way too much for our electric bill, rang us like 26 times just today! Got a bit heated and I said we'd file a complaint, then some bloke told me to “Shut Up”. Not impressed at all. We’ve saved the number as “DUMP” now. Proper irritating, but as a company we gotta pick up the phone, unfortunately.

Got calls from this number a couple of times each week, even after telling them I'm not interested. It feels like pure harassment. If there’s this many people complaining, you'd think the phone company would step in and block it. What about elderly folks who struggle to hear well? These scam calls aren’t just annoying, they’re basically targeting and bullying everyone. They really need to be put to a stop.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the complaints team from UK Power Networks. They already had my company name and address, which was a bit strange. When I asked where they got my number from, they went on about me being overcharged for energy. I told them I'd sort it out with my energy supplier myself, and then they just abruptly ended the call.

A bloke rang me a couple weeks back and then once more today. Same Indian guy as before telling me I’d been overcharged by like 40% on my bills. I lost me rag and told him, “Mate, this line’s for my business, I’ve got gas, electric, all that sorted, so don’t bother ringing again.” After that, he just hung up on me.

If they start saying you’re doing something illegal, don’t get scared or spill any details, just end the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying my electricity bills were too high and that I was being overcharged. They insisted I send photos of my meters, even though they said they had all my usage info already. They accused me of illegally avoiding commercial rates because I supposedly run a business there. I tried explaining that I work from home and this is just a normal house, but they kept ignoring that. They kept saying it was wrong to have bills in my own name instead of the business name. The person got pretty rude and started sounding quite intimidating towards the end.

Got a call at work from someone saying they were from a UK energy firm, saying we owed loads for electricity and couldn’t keep up with payments. I told them I’d never come across them and they don’t supply our electric. They then demanded £500 to stop the electricity being disconnected the next day. We rang our real electricity supplier, who assured us this was a total scam. So glad we didn’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be the complaints team, but then they just pushed me to change my energy supplier instead.

Got hit with like 15 call backs in a row on our business phone, which tied up the line so real customers couldn’t get through at the busiest time. Told them flat out to stop ringing, but they just ignored it. When we asked why they kept phoning, they pretended they didn’t know about the earlier calls. Said they were this vague energy company, without giving a name. We finally stopped the calls after warning them we were logging every call with our voice recording system that’s linked to caller ID, and that we’d hand the info over to the cops for harassment.

I got a call from a bloke with a thick accent, said he was from Power Networks or something. He told me I was paying for more electricity than I actually used. Then he transferred me to another guy who said I wasn’t receiving all my units properly. After that, I was put through to a woman, then yet another man who claimed to be from the UK National Grid. None of them could tell me who my supplier was or what exactly sparked this so-called 'complaint'. Ended up wasting about 15 minutes of their time, honestly.
