Got a call from this number earlier but didn’t pick up. Was gonna call back but decided to look it up here first. It’s from the North Tyneside area!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she could help me save about 35% on something. Her accent was so thick I couldnt really catch what she was offering. Ended up just hanging up.

I didn’t share any details and told them they were calling from O2.

The person on the phone had a really thick accent, maybe Indian, so I didn’t catch much of what they said. It seemed like they were talking about car expenses or something like that. I just ended the call.

Today, I had an unsettling phone call from a chap with a thick accent who was pretending to be from HMRC. He was trying to convince me that I had some outstanding tax debts, but I saw right through his ruse from the start. I informed him that I’d be reporting him to the authorities, and just like that, he ended the call!

Some guy with an Indian accent called me but I honestly couldn’t understand what he was trying to say. Figured it was a telemarketer, so I just ended the call.

Some bloke phoned me pretending to be from the legal dept of OFGEN, telling me I'd been charged too much for my electricity. Complete rubbish. I dragged the call out for about 3 minutes, making him talk to himself when I put him on mute - best fun I've had in a while!

Had a couple of quiet phone calls, then this woman with an Indian accent called, but she just ended the call when I mentioned the silent ones.

Got a call today from a bloke with an Indian accent using the number 0207 097 9235. He was pretty pushy, telling me I was overpaying for my electricity, which Utility Warehouse provides. He managed to get my name, address, and age, but felt like he was trying to dig out more. When he asked for my electricity bill details, I told him no and said he should just write to me by post or email since he’s already got those addresses.

They was trying to tell me they could lower my energy charges.

This number keeps ringing me up, saying they're from "UK Energy Services Limited". They claim there's extra charges on my gas and electric bills. Honestly, they're just trying to scam you. Be careful and don’t fall for it!

No idea who it was, they didn’t say a word, so I just blocked the number.

I keep seeing this number pop up on my phone but I’m too wary to pick up.

Had a really awful experience with this caller, who was extremely pushy and rude. He kept asking for a bunch of people who don’t even live here. Once I ended the call, he got quite hostile and started yelling. When I told him I’d report his behaviour, he threatened to just keep ringing back. Honestly, it was pretty unpleasant.

Got a ring from some call centre in India! They keep switching phone numbers, probably scammers. I've blocked all of them and even reported it to Action Fraud.

The phone just keeps ringing, but when I pick up, it’s only an automated message each time. Weird thing is, they leave that exact same message even if I don’t answer. Looks like they’re using some sort of power dialler to call loads of people at once.

We got a call from 0207 097 9235 at work about some issue with a meter. The person on the other end was quite impolite and kept calling again and again, even after we told them to stop. It's really frustrating and a total waste of time when you're busy running a business. Someone should look into this.

Totally annoying and persistent!!

A chap rang me claiming to be from the complaints department of the National Grid! When I inquired about his name, he responded with 'Abbey'??? He insisted that I should have the owner ring back and provided me with a contact number, then requested that I repeat it back to him. I found him rather evasive, as he kept reiterating that he was from the National Grid. When I probed further about the nature of the complaint, he vaguely mentioned it was regarding our supply. I pushed him, asking if it was a complaint directed at us or something on our behalf. He was just waffling, not making much sense at all. I pointed out that if there were an issue with the electricity supply, surely they’d reach out to us directly. He then claimed we were being overcharged, prompting me to respond that if it were genuinely the National Grid, they’d liaise with our supplier first, who in turn would inform us. As he continued insisting he had all of our details handy - urging me to ask him anything - I had to remind him that, firstly, I wasn’t the owner, so discussing any account details with me was improper; secondly, the information he was keen to relay was clearly subject to data protection; and lastly, the info he offered was so generic, it could’ve easily been found on Google or Companies House! After hanging up, I checked with the National Grid’s website based in London, and they confirmed it wasn’t them at all!

Rang me up then just dropped the call!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the power company, spoke with a thick accent. They said there was an issue with my electric bill. When I asked for the address, it turned out to be a virtual office, so definitely no actual bills to settle there. Felt like a total scam to me.

This number rang me claiming they could lower my energy bills for just £30 each month. The call was from Pakistan, and after being passed around between three different people, one of them emailed me asking for a photo of my meter. It’s definitely a con - there’s no way electricity would cost that little. They keep ringing me like 5 or 6 times daily. The government really ought to put an end to these nuisance calls.

i've told these people over and over again to stop ringing me. theres usually a man, sometimes a lady, and they sound like theyre from india. they come across as really rude and keep pushing. today alone ive had about ten calls from them. dont give them any info, they cant be trusted. ive told them so many times to quit wasting my time.

This number's been driving me mad, I can't take it anymore. Think I'm finally going to get one of those call blockers.

I get calls from a man or woman about my energy supply but they aren't from my actual provider. They keep ringing our landline constantly and the woman on the phone is incredibly impolite, often yelling which makes me just end the call. We've asked them repeatedly to quit phoning us yet they carry on, always switching up the numbers they use.
