Earlier today, I received a text message purporting to be from Halifax, claiming that this number is associated with their fraud investigation department. Naturally, I took a moment to search for the number online, only to discover that it’s a fraudulent contact. This definitely isn’t Halifax!

I got a call from a number supposedly from Halifax anti-fraud about some dodgy transaction. They wanted me to ring them back and try to get my account details and password. I didn’t call the number at all, but then they rang me again to ask why I hadn’t replied. Definitely a scam.
