My father-in-law got conned by someone using this phone number. He got a message on his laptop saying his system was compromised and to ring this number, supposedly from Microsoft. When he called, a man with an Indian accent answered and said he could sort it out for £198. He managed to persuade my father-in-law to show him his screen, then took some of his private info, including bank card details, and ended up taking money through PayPal. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from this number early morning on Saturday 30th September 2017. The person on the line said I needed to remove my McAfee antivirus as it supposedly wasn’t functioning properly. I quickly hung up and then rang McAfee myself, who said that number wasn’t connected to them at all and they wouldn’t ever contact me like that if there was an issue. This has got to be a scam, and a pretty risky one too!
