I've had this number ring me up a couple times already. They claim there's some tax fraud probe going on and tell me to hit 1 straight away or else I'll end up with an arrest warrant. It's crazy how they're allowed to carry on with this kind of stuff!

Like some of the others here, my elderly mum got a voicemail from these lot. She suffers from Alzheimer’s, so it really annoyed me. Thankfully, she never picks up the phone but I heard the message and got a bit worried at first - just an instinctive reaction really. Then it hit me it was probably just another scam call. Glad to see others think the same!

Received a call from 02070971243 but I couldnt answer. The voicemail was some kinda robotic message about missing documents for HMRC and a warrant for my arrest. Bit scary honestly - I’m 69, retired, and have a prostate cancer operation due soon. I dialled the number back a number of times but it never even rings. What’s the point in this? Are they hoping we spend loads just to get through somehow? It sounded like an ordinary landline. Totally confused and pretty annoyed about it all.

I called them back a few times and they kept saying there’s no issue. Got bored eventually, so I blocked my number and kept ringing them, just hanging up right after they picked up. After doing it 105 times, their phone just stopped working. Pretty sure I messed up their line!

This is undeniably a con. I received a pre-recorded message from HM Revenue and Customs claiming that there’s an arrest warrant issued against me for failing to pay my taxes.

Totally a scam! I got this automated female voice claiming to be from HMRC, telling me I had an arrest warrant out or something. Definitely dodgy.

Weirdly enough, I got the exact same call today just a bit after midday. This bloke was telling me to pop down to my nearby Sainsbury’s for a reference number, then said some HMRC official would show up at my place within a day with the whole case file and all that. Totally a SCAM, no doubt about it.
