I've been getting a barrage of calls from this number every single day, so today I decided to pick up. They pretended to be representatives from the UK Finance Department, claiming they wanted to send me a cheque for a reimbursement of some bank fees. They had my name and address on hand and then asked me to verify my date of birth, which I foolishly did. They further probed me about which bank I'm with and even requested my 16-digit bank card number. I firmly replied that I wasn’t going to share any sensitive information and suggested they send any documentation through the post instead. The caller became quite agitated due to my refusal to provide the requested info and abruptly terminated the call!

I've had quite a few rings from this number. When I returned the call, I was met with a recorded message claiming to be from TalkTalk. I decided to drop them an email, and during our exchange, they insisted that the number didn't belong to them. To add insult to injury, I was then told to report the nuisance calls to the police! I made it clear to TalkTalk that it's not my job to handle what they ought to be managing.

Blimey, Talk Talk really know how to get under their customers' skin, don’t they? Come on, Ms Dido Harding (the head honcho), it’s high time you sorted this nonsense out! I’ve made it abundantly clear that I prefer not to be contacted-so which bit of that doesn’t register? If it isn’t directly from Talk Talk, they must be outsourcing their calls. My caller ID comes up as No Number, yet when I dial 1471, it spits out 0207 059 8940. Can anyone shed some light on what’s going on there?

I've been receiving calls from this number for a while now but I've chosen to disregard them until recently. Just yesterday, I inadvertently answered the phone, as I had been dealing with some upsetting news from abroad and wasn't paying full attention. I remained courteous and requested the lady from TALK TALK to refrain from calling me for a fortnight, hoping that we could manage the current strain together, after which my husband could handle their queries since she assured me it wasn’t about sales or promotions. However, today, I found myself duped into picking up the same number again, mistaking it for a call from my husband. These persistent calls from TALK TALK have left me with quite a sour taste about their company. I've now saved the number in my contacts under the moniker 'Nuisance'.

Hey, we’re with TalkTalk and honestly, the number of calls we get daily from them and other PPI companies is driving me mad. I’m really tired of it all. The way TalkTalk handles contracts is shady too. Initially, we had this deal from years ago - £20 a month for unlimited calls and broadband for life. But then when we moved house, they refused to stick to that “for life” promise. It’s pretty dodgy how they do business, and I’m planning to switch providers pretty soon.

got a call from this number yesterday evening, a woman with an American accent said the person i was trying to reach wasn’t around. She even used my name and brought up TalkTalk. I then phoned their supposed call centre in India - what a nightmare that was! Honestly, i’m relieved i don’t have to deal with an ambulance delay.
