Calamity Claims rang me yesterday about an accident I’m supposed to have been in. Had a bit of time to spare, so I gave them the runaround till they got bored with repeating themselves and just dropped the call. Give me a ring and I’ll gladly waste your precious time, you lot of scammers!!!

Got a call from Calamity Claims Limited, which apparently is dissolved according to Companies House. The person claimed I was in a Road Traffic Accident that wasn’t my fault. I asked how they got my details, but the woman insisted I had to admit I’d been in an accident before she could share anything, citing data protection (!!!). When I asked again where exactly she had my info from, she just cut off the call.

Received an unexpected call on my mobile today. A woman claimed I had been involved in a recent car crash. I inquired about her name three separate times and queried how she obtained my number. Before I could get any further, they abruptly disconnected.

I’m on the TPS list but when I reported a nuisance call, they said they couldn’t figure out who it was just from the number. They said it’s up to us to provide the company’s name before they can take action. And if the caller uses a fake name, there’s nothing they can do about it. If there were stricter laws, the police might be able to track them down easier...

How on earth did they manage to get hold of this number? I only just got a new sim and filled in a car insurance form on the internet, using the same email linked to the sim. It’s a bit creepy, especially since I mentioned I’d made a claim on my old insurance, and now I’m getting calls out of the blue from people looking to chase ambulance claims. Sounds like one of those ambulance chasing firms. They kick off with an automated message, so you don't get a real person right away. If you just stay quiet, they hang up pretty fast, usually less than half a minute. Might be a good idea if more folks actually got through and kept the real operators busy for a bit.

Got yet another annoying call from one of those so-called "ambulance chaser" types. Reminds me of the numbers 020 7031 3846 and 020 7046 7258. Instead of hanging up straight away, just keep your phone on for a bit - it seems to confuse their system and might help block them out.

I’ve been on the TPS list forever, yet they wouldn’t stop bombarding my landline with those annoying prerecorded messages. So, I switched on SkyGuard which quietened them for a bit, but then they began ringing all four of my mobile contracts - three of which are my teenagers!! Looked up the number, turns out it’s some daft “you’ve had an accident” scam. Just another pushy cold caller, chasing leads when I’ve had no accident at all. Honestly, there should be proper laws to stop this nonsense!
