9 yearsGot a call from 020 7043 0017 around 2pm on 19th January 2018. The person on the other end sounded like they were from India and claimed to be from British Telecom. They said there was something wrong with my router and insisted they needed to scan my computer. Since I use a Mac, they then told me to open Safari and go to https://www.teamviewer.com/. After that, someone else came on the line and asked me to download the free version of TeamViewer. I didn’t fall for it and didn’t download anything, but played along for a few minutes. Later, a third caller came on trying to “fix” things, but I ended the call after a minute and immediately blocked the number.
