I just got off the phone with Frazer from GoDaddy’s support team and honestly, it was a really pleasant conversation. He was just checking in to see if I was satisfied with my account, and mentioned the option to add domain protection to a couple of my domains. There was absolutely no hard sell or anything pushy about it. Then about 15 minutes later, GoDaddy sent me an email asking for feedback on the call, which totally convinces me this was a legit call from them. So yeah, definitely not spam or a scam.

Some bloke rang claiming he was from GoDaddy’s business advisory team, checking if all was fine with my account. When I picked up, he hesitated awkwardly before speaking, which gave me bad vibes. I told him I suspected it was a scam after I looked it up and saw people saying similar on this site. I’ve got GoDaddy’s real number saved, so definitely not theirs.

For sure this aint GoDaddy - I had a chat with my GD contact and they reckon its a phishing scam. They’ve already flagged the number with their team in an attempt to get it blocked.

Got a call on our phone from 02070237956, but we didnt pick up. Later got a voicemail saying it was 'Go Daddy' checking if our account was ok. We don’t have any account with them, so definitely a spam call in my opinion.

Got a voicemail from an automated voice claiming to be from Go Daddy, checking if I was satisfied with my account. Thing is, I don’t have any Go Daddy account. We build websites ourselves and honestly, we wouldn’t suggest Go Daddy for any kind of web hosting or services. There are loads of better options available.

A woman claimed to be calling from Go Daddy, saying she was checking my account to see if I needed help with anything. She didn’t ask any security questions or confirm my identity before she asked if I was Aiden Ratcliffe. When I said no, she quickly ended the call, apologising and saying it must’ve been a wrong number. I do have an account with Go Daddy, but the way she approached me felt a bit off. It seemed like it might have been a third party using Go Daddy’s name to offer services rather than a straight scam. Just be careful if you get a call like that.

It's definitely GoDaddy, but seems like they shared my info somehow since the caller only had some basic details. I checked with my GoDaddy account rep and was told it's a crappy data sharing agreement they can't back out of. So, it's not exactly spam, but not really GoDaddy either!

Some bloke said he was from GoDaddy, but when I asked why he was calling my landline which isn’t linked to them, he couldn’t explain. Then he kept pushing me for my customer PIN and account info. I told him no way and asked him to take my number off whatever list they had. I’ve also told my company since it was our work phone. Seems fishy to me - definitely don’t share any of your personal or account details with calls like that.
