Tried calling the Amazon complaints team straight away (their number is sort of hidden at the bottom of their contact page!). It's legit and safe. Make sure you mention your call is being recorded for legal reasons since they only keep their own recordings briefly. Have all your details ready. Best of luck. Also, you can't ring back on the number they give you.

Yep, this actually was Amazon calling. I ended the call ‘cause of all the stuff on here, then got an email showing it was about a complaint for something I ordered. I’m not too sure who was ringing but I reckon it’s a cloned number. They called me at 6.17pm but I didn’t recognise it so I just let it ring out. The device wouldn't let me complete the setup as it was still linked to my old phone number. So, they decided to ring me on my new number to confirm they had updated it, but alas, that didn’t fix anything. The link they sent me still stubbornly refuses to recognise my new contact. I ended up lodging a complaint, stating that their customer support is quite ineffective and appears to be largely automated. Honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if the individual on the other end was a resident of some sci-fi realm like Westworld!

This number rang me about 6 or 7 times, every time I picked up there was piano music playing, then a bloke eventually came on and asked for my name. I told him, "you called me, surely you know who I am!" He kept saying “you must have dialled wrong.” I told him the only mistake was on their side since they kept ringing me so often! Apparently, it was meant to be Amazon calling.

I received a call from this number today, and the person on the line wanted me to sign up for a complimentary demo for my business. When I inquired whether they were trying to sell something, she confirmed they were. I reminded her that cold calling is against UK regulations. Shortly after, her manager got on the line to apologise and mentioned the caller was still undergoing training. I reiterated my point about the cold calling laws, and then the line went dead. I really hope they don’t attempt to contact me again!

Got three automated calls from Amazon, then the same London number rang me back after I chatted with their support. They ask you to punch in a 3-digit code, then put you through to a live person. But if the agent is tied up, it just hangs up after you've entered the code two times. Pretty annoying!

This looks like an Amazon support line. I had looked through their online FAQs and asked for a callback. Pretty much right away this number called me back, I spoke to a rep and told them about my issue - I’d sent an item back but had to pay the return postage myself. I gave them the return details, and they told me the refund would be processed immediately and I’d get an email soon after. Once we ended the call, I checked my emails and sure enough, there it was. The next day I saw my account credited with a gift card covering the postage.

I was chatting with Amazon on their online support and they said someone would ring me back to fix my credit card problem. Then I got a call from this number, there was some music to start then a man spoke with a strange accent. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Madagascar!! I quickly hung up cos I was suspicious it wasn’t really Amazon. It might have been, but there’s so many scams these days I didn’t want to risk giving my card info on the phone.

I can confidently say this is a dodgy operation. I got a call claiming that my Amazon account had been compromised and there was a spend of £799.00. They instructed me to log in to my account, but I wisely opted not to. Straightaway, I contacted Amazon’s official customer service through their website to verify my account status. They informed me there had been no recent transactions linked to my account, confirming it was indeed a scam. Although the number might appear legitimate, it’s wise to exercise caution since it's likely being misused by someone else. It certainly doesn’t originate from Amazon.

Monday morning around 8:01 and 8:02, I got a voicemail from a lady saying something about quality, then some music played for a bit before the call ended. Then this morning at exactly 8:00, 8:01 and 8:02, no messages were left, even though it should've gone to voicemail. So honestly, I can't say for sure if it was amazon or not.
