8 monthsA lady with a strong accent, sounding South Asian, pretending to be from O2 called me out of the blue. She rushed through telling me about this supposed 40% discount and quickly sent a text with a code to my phone that looked legit. DO NOT EVER SHARE THAT CODE! When I pointed out she hadn’t asked if it was a good time to chat, she kept pushing for the code and even asked when she could ring me again. I ended the call, but she immediately rang back. That’s definitely not how O2 operates, haha. I blocked her mid-conversation.8 monthsMy phone showed the number as “possible spam” and when I picked up, all I could hear was some sort of call centre noise in the background.8 monthsThe person spoke really bad English and after me asking who they were a couple of times, I still couldnt make out what they were saying so I just ended the call. Sounds like a proper scam to me.8 monthsGot a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, rambling about O2 offers and checking if I was satisfied with O2 service (I’m not even a customer). They said they’d send me a 6 digit code to enter on my phone! Straight away I knew it was dodgy, so I told them a few choice words and ended the call! Watch out, it’s definitely a scam.Submit Your Own Report (020 4635 7673)
