5 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be EE offering a 30% discount. I asked them to verify the numbers they thought I was with EE, but as soon as I did, they just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.EE5 monthsSomebody rang up saying they were with 02 and wanted to lower my bill. I said I wasn’t the one on the account, so they asked for the account holder’s phone number. I told them no thanks, I’d get the actual account holder to contact 02. They tried to convince me it was easier if I gave them the number, but I refused again and said we’d call 02 ourselves. Eventually, they just said alright, they weren’t gonna push it, then I said cheers and they muttered something before hanging up.5 monthsHeads up - I first got a call claiming to be from EE, a woman named Jasmine Wilson offering a 30% discount on my bills. Then I got transferred to a supervisor who said her name was Maya and claimed she worked for Sky. I caught her on that straight away, and she quickly denied ever mentioning Sky. I asked loads of questions, like why they were so eager to give me money and all that. They wanted me to download some app, which I refused to do, and asked for my email address. Afterwards, I got an email to reset my password - the EE emails looked pretty real. I phoned EE directly and they told me it was a scam since they never ask for codes over the phone, which is exactly what this 'Maya' was doing. Turns out it wasn’t EE at all, and somehow they'd hacked into their system. It could have been a proper nightmare.EEJasmine WilsonMayaSky6 monthsI kept gettin calls from this number over and over again. My phone flagged it as maybe fraud so I was a bit wary. But today I finally picked up. Turned out to be a guy claiming to be from Sky, said his name was Sam, but he was speakin in a foreign language. I told him to quit callin me since the number’s marked as dodgy on my phone.SkySam6 monthsI was trying to upgrade my SIM with Sky but couldn’t remember my account info. When I tried to get help accessing my account, the person got really annoyed because I wouldn’t give the details straight away. They even threatened to cancel my SIM. I just told them to do their worst and hung up.Sky6 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from Sky, but the number didn’t add up. They mentioned offering me a 30% cut on my bill for sticking around, then asked if I fancied upgrading my mobile since it’s nearly up for renewal. I’ve been avoiding it though, not really convinced it’s legit Sky.Sky6 monthsSo this call claimed to be from Sky TV, saying they could help lower my bill. They started asking for my details, but when I asked them to give me the last three digits of my Sky account to prove they were legit, they just instantly cut me off. Quite dodgy if you ask me!Sky TVSkySubmit Your Own Report (020 4632 9963)
