They even provided an address in Great Yarmouth for me to send the cheque to. I contacted Norfolk Police, but they were quite dismissive, saying it’s not within their purview, and advised me to reach out to "ACTION FRAUD." However, my attempt to connect with them proved fruitless. It seems like no one is willing to take this seriously. The caller identified themselves as "FRESHFIELD SOLICITORS" with reference number 04988 and urged me to call 02045869007.
