So, I won a prize in a draw I entered not too long ago. Then, this number gave me a ring offering extra prizes if I paid £1.95. The guy seemed legit and mentioned the draw I was part of, but it still felt dodgy since they wanted me to pay by phone. Plus, I found out this number is linked to energy saving scams, which made me even more wary.

Got a call from some energy savings group I’ve never come across before. Tried googling them but found zilch. Since I never asked for their call and there’s no info about them online, I’m guessing it’s a dodgy scam. Didn’t want to take any chances, so I just blocked the number.

I get loads of annoying telemarketers calling me, so I started putting ‘scam’ next to their numbers in my contacts to avoid picking up. When I run out of room with ‘scam’, I just switch it up to ‘scaam’ and keep going like that. Keeps things a bit easier to spot!

Got a missed call from an unknown number but I never pick up calls I don’t recognise, and there was no voicemail either. They’ve rung me a few times on my mobile so I looked them up online before thinking of calling back, but couldn’t find anything at all. Has anyone else answered this number? Does anyone know who they are?

I had a quick look but asda kept ringing me non-stop after that. Their loan rates are way over the top, feels like an absolute rip-off APR to me.
