It's quite concerning that they possess my name, address, and postcode. I mentioned to her that I was passing the matter on to the police, and she promptly ended the call. I truly believe it's high time that action is taken against these sorts of calls, particularly for those who are more vulnerable.

It seems I've encountered yet another classic scam! A lady with a heavy Indian accent rang me up, insisting she was representing Carphone Warehouse. She was quite pushy, asking for my personal details in order to sort out a new contract. I told her to take me off their calling list, invoking my rights under GDPR, but she became rather confrontational. In the end, I swiftly blocked her number.

Just had a right peculiar phone call from a number claiming to be Carphone Warehouse. The person on the other end had such a thick Indian accent that I could barely make out what they were saying.
