I keep getting calls on a daily basis, often multiple times from various numbers, but they all begin with 020. Each time I manage to block one, another pops up. Today, there was a bloke with an Asian accent who didn’t say much, just laughed and chatted away with someone else on the line. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I finally picked up this number after it kept pestering me with three missed calls while I was busy at work yesterday. The caller, a chap with a strong South Asian lilt, asked for me by my first name, which instantly put me on edge. He claimed to represent something called 'National Debt Advice'-though he pronounced it as 'adwice'-and mentioned I had an issue with 'account arrears.' Just to clarify, I haven't got any such thing! He was vague about the account and insisted on asking me some so-called 'security questions' before offering any details. I told him to jog on and promptly ended the call. I've now blocked the number and reported it.
