Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with a credit financial company. He only knew my first name. Pretty clear it was a scam.

everytime i say im not with the council they just hang up, pretty sure its a scam. this has happened to me three times now xx

So, this bloke called me from 02045389939, said his name was Maxwell, and claimed he was ringing about some housing disrepair issue. When I questioned where he got my phone number, he told me it came from the UK Consumer Database. Funny thing is, he mentioned my old address, not where I live now, which pretty much shows he’s not got my details straight from me directly. I told him to take my number off their list and to speak to whoever gave him my info to update their records. Fingers crossed, I won’t be getting any more calls from him.

Got a call from some bloke with an accent, he kept saying something about a 'building'. Sounded really dodgy to me, like one of those scams. Totally not trusting it.

They ring you up and then just drop it, proper annoying. Definitely don’t answer again, it’s exactly what they’re after. Total scammers... straight to the block list for me 🙄👌🤨
