Got a ring from this number, some bloke with a foreign accent saying it was about council housing or some housing association. I told him I don't live in any council housing or anything and just hung up. Seriously, no clue why I'm getting these scam calls nonstop. Please!!! Don’t tell them anything about your personal business. I really want to find a way to stop these scammers.

Got a call from some guy who barely spoke English, rambling about working for the council and fixing damp and cracks at my place. He asked if there was any damp inside. I told him we live in a caravan (which isn't true). Then there was this awkward pause. He goes, "So, uhm, any cracks in the property or is it council housing or something...?" I just repeated, "No, caravan." He stammered and then cut the call. Honestly, I get a kick out of messing with these scammers. Next time, I’m gonna say we live in a big ol’ yurt!

Got a random call from someone named Emma about the Housing Disrepairs Scheme. Told her to stop bothering me, but she kept on ringing, so in the end, I just had to block her number!

A man rang me, and after a brief pause (which I figured was the classic silence before a scam) he said he was calling on behalf of a well-known company, but wouldn’t say which one. When I asked his name, he said Mr Williams. Then I asked how he got my number, and he rudely guessed I lived in a council property and was skint. I played along for a while for a bit of fun until he started getting proper nasty, so I just ended the call.
