clever scam, for sure. they started off by hyping up some big news, then immediately jumped into saying i won a bunch of free lucky dip euromillions numbers. next thing, they wanted my bank info. i flat out told them no way am i sharing that. they even tried to argue that euromillions isn’t gambling?! best thing is to throw loads of tricky questions their way, they’ll only give smooth answers to try and win you over. did you catch that play on words?

The caller said I was one of 150 people in some kind of lottery syndicate, where I’d have to choose numbers, first month free, then £39 a month to stay in the draw. They kept insisting it wasn’t a scam and asked for my bank sort code. I said no three times, and then got passed onto a ‘manager’ who I then asked to take me off their contact list. Really bizarre experience.
