They rang up saying I’d made it to the final 150 in some kind of competition and that I’d get a bunch of free lottery tickets plus be entered into a Euromillions syndicate. Then they started asking for my full name and date of birth, and later on even tried to push for my bank details. I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info. They said it was compulsory, but when I said no again, they just hung up.

I got a call from someone claiming I’d won some lottery tickets and asked me to choose my numbers. After I did, he started saying I needed to send him chocolates for winning. Then he tried to get my bank details, which I refused to share. Suddenly, in a different accent, he claimed he was the area manager and insisted there was no scam, telling me my account number and sort code wouldn’t be enough for anything. I ended the call and contacted my bank straight away. Turns out scammers can do quite a lot with even small info, so please be careful and don’t trust these calls.

Got a call from 02045258103, the bloke said his name was Sam and knew my name. He was talking about me winning a prize and that I’d been entered into some national lottery draw or something. He sounded English but maybe had an Asian background. Definitely felt like a scam, but I guess it could trick people who aren’t careful.

Got a call from someone who started off by asking for my personal info, then mentioned joining a lottery syndicate with 180 other folks. They wanted me to pay £39.00 to join. I said I wasn’t interested and then they just ended the call. Total spam if you ask me.

Spoke with a bloke called Michael (0204 525 8103) earlier, he was going on about some guaranteed monthly lottery win that’d cost me £39 to enter. Kept going on about wanting a box of Cadbury’s chocolates as a thank you - pretty odd. Things got dodgy when he asked for my bank sort code and account number. I told him I only trust Royal Mail to send me my bank details each month on my statement, so no thanks mate. Ended the call there and blocked him straight away. Since then, I’ve had loads of blocked calls from the same number, so I guess he’s been trying to ring back.
